    Mine has gone up about 17% in the last 2 years, Insurance Guy blamed it on Inflation and price of materials, so has my car Insurance..I'm getting a few quotes now. In 2020 when I switched to them, they saved me about $600 a year between car and auto bundled.

    Did you try to read anything else from the native adapter before you put the (add on) adapters on? like a standard 128Kx8 flash chip ? or something from a old motherboard. Just to make sure you are getting the correct voltages and make sure it reads and writes proper? I had a older HP laptop...

    it is a strange error however IF somebody stuck a thumb drive in or ADDED a hard drive, A LOT more entries would be in those logs, like viewing or logging in so If you do not see any of that I would not lose sleep over it. I'm with red Fishy on this one.

    You cannot effectively manage non dahua cameras through the dahua web Gui, You might (depending on the cam make) get a few controls to work. I have raysharp, Uniview and Axis running 'WITH" my NVr but when I need to make any changes I need to log on outside of the NVR.

    And Do not take Logs from smartPSS for the gospel, Log in direct to the NVR..As Big red has pointed out before, bits and bytes get lost in translation between the two..

    If you have 2 hardrives, Its switching the drive its writing to. i believe this to be Normal operations.

    Unfortunately this Version of NVR is most likely EOL. Looking back on the firmware thing, I really wonder if they just needed extra bytes on their ROM memory FOR security and had to eliminate something or a feature to make room for it. I do know this NVR had issues with me over the years...

    I do NOT care what type of direct burial you get or buy, The critters will chew it to shreds, here is a cable I pulled out after a year and a half, BTW the system quit working. :smash: If you like doing things twice, like me then go for it.

    When you get everything set back the way you want it, backup your config file to a Thumb drive or a network folder, it will save you a LOT of issues in case things go sideways again.
