not the same - Full VMD internally do many shots, and even 5442-S3 internally do car plate OCR to find the best shot (sharp one with fully OCR'ed plate number). Car snapshot and car plate snapshot can be taken from different video frames by Full VMD algorithm. OCR result is not saved /...- steve1225

PTZ4E25X-T180 Review
No two.. panorama (single channel like in normal 5849-A180) and PTZ... panorama channel have also that strange Dahua specific 180 degree resolution / ratio and with horizontal compression... the only sign that it have 2 separate SOCs / processors are separate RAM/ROM sizes for each channel. -

For what 2 IPs? Even if camera have 2 separate SOC's (processors) for each channel due power processing reasons (like in Hubble series), it simply works as one camera with one IP and 2 channels (like in thermal cams)... IVS in linkage mode is shared, PTZ reacts at objects detected by panorama... -

ps. animal support (dedicated AI models in IVS for animals) are supported only on 5xx2-S3 and 7xxx-X cams.. there is no NVR with AI animal models.. but if you have big dogs, most Dahua cams treats them as humans :)- steve1225

Dahua recommendation
Three things: - Your cameras have basic AI - mostly IVS (perimeter protection) with human and vehicle filtering. As I understand You simply don't use this feature because Your actual VMS (synology surveillance station???) don't support them? And probably You never configured them to work...- steve1225

As I wrote this is Full video meta data. Go to smart plan in camera, disable acupick and after reboot select video meta data. No more configuration needed. Data received and displayed by any 5xxx NVR. In ai search you have options like human / faces / motor vehicle / non motor vehicle search- steve1225

I used this camera model... please remember this have Z4E telephoto optics - so they are like 2x-8x on smartphones (normal varifocal models -ZE/ZHE are like 0.5x -2x on smartphones). Z4E telephoto varifocal capture 15 to 45 degree horizontal Field of View - they are ideal to capture car plates...- steve1225

If You have ANPR cams (dedicated one or WizMind-X 7xxx-X) then any NVR 5-series or up (5xxx-4ks2, 5xxx-EI, 5xxx-XI, 6xx-XI) can receive / search that data. the are many different hdw2449 cams from different Dahua lines and generations with different spec sheet. Go do Dahua Technology - World Leading Video-Centric AIoT Solution & Service Provider, find exactly model you have and check the spec sheet. -
Using WiFi bridge inside to connect POE to NVR
Put Your NVR somewhere next to TV and connect them using HDMI cable. Connect cams to POE switch. Connect NVR with POE switch using CAT5 (ethernet) cable. Configure NVR to stream (live view) cams on HDMI output.- steve1225

those 2449-PRO are a new product - which no one in this forum ever tested yet... there are cheapest model from a new WizColor category - which have a very good night performance, but everything else is cut to lowest price point... They are only Full Color cams - so they don't have IR (infrared)... -

Dahua is blocking reverting to older firmwares based on older baseline (due security concerns). I thing the only way to downgrade in that situation, is doing it by RS232 port on camera motherboard - you can manually flash firmware... ps. never tried - so I'm not 100% sure it will work... -

alternative camera recommendation
No one on this forum will recommend Reolink camera.. Especially ones with high resolution and small sensor size (wrong resolution to sensor size ratio) - they will have very bad night performance. Also there is no good recommendation for 4 PTZ cams (why?), 20 fixed lenses (why why???) one and...- steve1225

in that case PTZ cams don't have any sense on sides of building... there is so small space to the plot and plot is high - so visibility for PTZ will be small... please remember that maximal FoV for PTZ is 60 degrees (they can't work as wide overview camera)... on sides and back there should be... -

you can do a difference - but not that big... ps. I don't like timetable changed manual profiles - they work bad in spring and autumn months. When the sunrise/sunset time is completely different on the 1st and last of a given month. This mechanism does not take into account different weather... -

If You use automatic day/night switching then difference in Your day and night settings (shutter & gain) are simply too big. shutter is 4x longer, gain 2x bigger = 8x more light.. when camera see that day profile settings are not enough, it switched to night profile where it see too much light... -

they lying :) they didn't released any big upgrade with a new features for -XI in last 18 months.. only small releases with bug fixes / security patches (and empty release notes).. You are lucky that 5xxx-XI was launched half a year later than 6xx-xi, so in the base firmware you already have...- steve1225

If camera supports AI function you want to use (like IVS), then You should use that AI function done of camera... they always work better run on camera and not NVR.. definitely this camera (sensor and lenses) showed here own age.. if this is 1.3Mpx cams, this means this is 8-10 years old cam... or even more... this also looks like problems with sharpness or dirty lenses/dome.. use this camera for less demanding environment. rotate and show something... -

OK, I see You have version based on Q4 2023 or Q1 2024 firmware for -EI series... With Acupick 1.0 over web, but without AcuPick 2.0 and other changes (almost 40 new features) and new UI which were released in July 2024 for -EI series... I have latest firmware on 6xx-XI (V4.000.0000000.6.R.240721). But as I told it is 18 months behind 5xxx-EI (feature wise - it's based on -EI firmware from Q2 2023)... Many people here on the forum have 608-XI and all reported the same problem. Lack of AcuPick over web, Lack of AcuPick 2.0...- steve1225

One more time: Does 5xxx-xi allow to search using AcuPick over WEB interface? Do you have acupick icon in all web players (live view, ai search results etc)? Your screenshot look like from HDMI interface? Can you put screenshot of main screen with 6 big icons - from which you go to Live view...- steve1225

Latest SmartPSS 2.003.0000004.1.R.230310 refuses to run new cameras added via IP/port (37777)
One solution which I can think of: install / run 2 copies (in different directories) of SmartPSS on computer.. one (230310) for P2P clients, second (older) for IP ones...
