    5.6.0 - August 16, 2022

After upgrade I noticed that my alert clips for today disappeared. A simple DB compact did the trick and everything was restored.

    LPR Through Glass

Yes, I have two cameras behind glass in a letterbox, solely for LPR. Daytime capture is a breeze. The cameras are up as close as possible to the glass, with one side nearly touching the glass and the other side off at an angle. IR reflection, from the camera is a problem. To alleviate...

Looking for Video Editing Software - that features redaction of certain areas of video

No, I'm still here. It has been ages since I raised this topic. Never did achieve what I wanted to achieve, other things got in the way, but now I might have a another look at things. Doesn't address the issue at hand.

    Hello from down under Australia

    Hello from down under Australia

As an Aussie member, I can vouch for Andy. I've purchased 11 cameras from him in two batches about 14 months apart. No problems whatsoever. All but two of my 13 cameras are the 5442 models and the night-time quality is far superior than my 8mp cameras. In my case the 5442 models all have...

Recommended solutions for BlueIris "cloud" storage?

From a burglar's perspective, who wants a desktop or tower computer these days? They wouldn't even know the purpose of the tower computer. A timely topic for me, I've just purchased 256GB micro SD cards for some of my cameras.

How to disable BI date/time imprint on jpg

I did search the help file but used the term, snapshot, and couldn't find the answer or reference to imprinting to jpg's. Will check later using the term, overlay, see what that brings up. To be clear though, all my cameras were set, and are set, with the BI imprinting disabled, and all...

How to disable BI date/time imprint on jpg

Answering my own question. I deleted the BI date/time stamp from the edit camera's setting under video, even though I hadn't enabled the imprinting of the date/time for the video. There is no reference to jpg for the setting.

How to disable BI date/time imprint on jpg

How do I disable the Blue Iris imprinting of date/time on jpg's? I have BI date/time imprinting disabled for the recorded and live video and rely solely on the camera imprinting of the date and time. On the jpg, not only do I see the camera's date/time but also BI date/time. On some...

How to get colour back on 5442 camera

Found it. Somehow the Profile Management was set to Day/Night, when I turned it back to 'Full Time' other value options became selectable and now I have colour back. Thanks for your help.

How to get colour back on 5442 camera

I've gone through all the settings, there is nothing obvious to turn on colour at night. There is no 'colour' option in any of the setting values.

How to get colour back on 5442 camera

I don't know how this happened but all of a sudden my 5442 night colour camera has lost the colour recording at night. What is the setting to get it back to colour at night? The setting only changed when I upgraded BI to 5.5.7.7 from .6 Steve. EDIT: The illuminator is on but no colour...

Playback - mouse scroll wheel - I like

[5.5.6.13] Ok, how long has this feature been around? I'm sure it worked differently in previous versions. What is 'this' feature? In playback mode, I'm sure in the past when using the mouse scroll wheel, it use to zoom in and out, like it does on the live view. Anyway, today I noticed...

A good, free mail server to send BI notifications from?

Yep, works for me, really don't know what this issue is.

A good, free mail server to send BI notifications from?

If they have an auto-forward feature, enable that. Or, at you Google/Yahoo account have them retrieve emails from your ISP email account. For Gmail, I know that is doable.

A good, free mail server to send BI notifications from?

What about your ISP? Can you not simply use that account? I ask in question form as I don't use my ISP for email, haven't for years ,but I know I do have an email account with my ISP. Not free, but it shouldn't cost you anymore, if that makes sense.

You think you know it, you do it, but you're wrong

Prior to using the Time Server, viewing 11 cameras live, none of the times were in sync with each other, all out by a second or two or three, can't remember precisely. So was primarily for that reason I started with the time and now each camera has the exact same time, and every 10 mins is...

Ok, I concede. I changed my time zone to your (@Mike A.) time zone as per your screen shots above. Yes, I got the same results toggling the DST in the camera settings. Thanks everyone for your patience, I know it wasn't easy.

You think you know it, you do it, but you're wrong

As you can see, according to my Windows Date Time settings, the time service is off, and I confirm that at the Services page where it's indicated as disabled. So NetTime keeps the computer's time in sync and according to my time zone. You will also note that the last time the Windows did a...
