    Just ran into that a couple weeks ago for the first time. Couple thousand Dahua’s installed and never heard of a small internal cable failing. Wasted about 3 days of time replacing everything and reconfiguring it all, thank god I didn’t have to warranty that!

    You must of added to account instead of local. Not sure if deleting and readding on your phone will unbind. If you do share and everyone is using the same email it’ll keep logging everyone out when someone else logs in.

    If your switches already have the “right ports” (sfp) then yeah use fiber. My earlier comment was if you had regular switches and then having to add multimedia converters on top of those.

    I’d just drop in an Ethernet and call it a day. Even if you don’t mind spending 20x on fiber you’re adding 2 more devices that need power and are more points of failure.
