What's the best FREE video editing s/w for 2024?

About 8 years ago, I used a free version of ActivePresenter (Vietnam) to create a few howto videos for my software, even though I had a (Sony) VEGAS Pro package (intro for 69.99 back then). I also played with Wondershare Filmora (China), Openshot, Shotcut and DaVinci. Back then, there was a...

    Home assistant advice

The HP Thin Client that you mentioned above will definitely do the job. I've been using an old Dell/Wyse thin client for my HA, slapped in an SSD and installed HA....it's a low AMD processor, but much faster than the Pi3 I had. Also use an old HP thin client for PfSense, slapped a 4 port...

Thanks for figuring it out and sharing. I bought one and put it onto a PCIe card, was planning on playing with ISpy Agent since they had it working. Didn't think that BI + TPU with Deepstack nor AI Code Project was working yet. Plan on upgrading to AI Code Project instead of Deepstack in...

    No Signal

Ones I can think of off top of head: 1) corroded Jack, check CAT cable on cam 2) POE switch failing, remove all but one failing cam and see if comes back, try different port on switch, etc. 3) Failing CAT cabling, did you use solid copper CAT, did you terminate with your own jack that may be...

If the Wireguard add-in on OpnSense doesn't give you a QR code, you can plug in the information into a field on Wireguard's website to generate it: https://www.wireguardconfig.com/qrcode Edit: The geek that I am, I was curious on how to do Wiregard on OpnSense and found the youtube video...

How to install PoE camera with limited attic access?

Not sure how fancy your house is, but if there's a straight line across the wall and have quarter round (or not) in the cathedral area, you could use a cable concealer... may not look great, painting the same color as the base board may do. Another option, under the soffit, run rectangular...

    VPN Primer for Noobs

Have you looked into Wireguard? Not sure how it works on IpnSense, but it was straight forward when I used Home Assistant and the Wireguard add-on, it will generate the key and it presented the QRcode on screen, just used the iPhone cam to capture the QRcode and way you go.
