Certainly could be. Not sure how I could still get a decent view of the edge of the lawn if I lower the angle any more than that. Also snow on the ground is likely reflecing too causing the auto exposure to cut back. I'll post a picture without the camera's IR for interest's sake.- GFM

Yes. It's maybe 20-25' to the right and up about 12'. That was a very dark area before, now lots of light right up to the trees and the weather station.- GFM

Yes that is the 3.6mm standard lens. Nice wide angle, and less distortion than the 2.8mm. Works perfectly where it's situated. Picked up the camera today. Fired it up on the network, seems ok except I get four blocks in the video that I can't get rid of. Tried re-setting the camera, maybe I could try to re-load the firmware? Would rather avoid the latter.. Here's the image attached, full res. Awsome pucture otherwise... -

Yes will have to investigate that for future deliveries. Just got a call from DHL, it turns out they don't deliver outside the city (Winnipeg), so I have to pick it up at their depot. It's a 2 hour drive from here. Guess DHL doesn't do much business here. Will try to run up there next week. -

How often do you clean your camera lenses?
Yea those spiders... Always a web somewhere close to the camera lens that causes erronious triggering. I try to sweep around the front of the cameras every evening. Don't really ever actually clean the lenses though, they seem to stay clean. -

Just ordered a 4231 from Andy, first order from him so far. Replacing another Foscam that the LEDs quit working on. Area is partially lit so I suspect may not require the IR with the extra light gathering ability. Looking forward to trying it out. -

Update: I ended up making a deal with the seller and they sent me another camera (kept the old one). The new one works perfectly on the POE switch so I am satisfied. Left the old camera in the doghouse since it already has power etc, and set the new one up in a good spot to perform as a security...- GFM

How has this camera been working in the outdoors, exposed to rain/snow/cold etc? I have been having intermittent trouble with one of my Foscam units (few years old) and thinking a PTZ type camera like this SD49925T-HN might be a suitable replacement. Problem is the camera would be 100% exposed... -
What dash cam are you using?

Doesn't stipulate low power DC, RF, cable TV, etc. They all must have a ground path before entering the residence.- GFM
