    Amcrest AD410

Expanding on wittaj' post, here are the Blue Iris settings to change: As shown in my earlier posted image, check the box at the bottom of the Camera Configuration page which says "Get ONVIF trigger events" - see attached. Then in the Trigger Tab, check the box for "Camera's digital input or...

    Amcrest AD410

Putting aside whatever happened in Blue Iris for a moment -- in the Amcrest app on your phone, did it detect you both going and coming? Upthread I thought you said you are happy with the AD410 detection performance in the Amcrest app. Correct?

    Amcrest AD410

If you are happy with the trigger performance in the Amcrest app, why not use the camera's ONVIF trigger for BI? In my case, I am only looking for people, but I get the ONVIF trigger and then have DS take a look at it before sending an Alert and a push notification. The Amcrest app and BI have a...

My DS times to send an Alert based on the doorbell's ONVIF trigger is about 50ms ... see attached: I am using the Substream for DS, but I am looking ONLY for people, not vehicles. The push notifications from the Amcrest app and from BI arrive to my phone at virtually the exact same time.

No matter. I will sort it out later. Your project is really taking shape and I was hoping to contribute, but I will when I can. Carry on .... I'll catch up with you once I sort out my issue. :)

Yep, I planned to do that. It is done in each camera config, right? I never made it that far till the Rekor Agent crashed.

IP Cam Talk Custom Community DeepStack Model

Wow. I copied the custom models into the MyModels directory, Stopped and re-Started DS, checked the box to use custom models, and then went to a camera to configure the custom models and all of a sudden the Rekor Scout service failed. I restarted, but it kept cycling on and off. Once I stopped...

No apology necessary! The setting you suggested is working VERY well for me, so thanks again! :)

    OpenALPR Missed This One ....

My CPU is an i9-9900k and seems solid at less than 15% while running GPU acceleration for both Rekor and Deepstack. I checked my settings and had it set for 30, but I bumped it up to 60 to see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the tip.

OpenALPR Tool - Save and Query CSV Exports

I thought it might be useful to have some short clips of the captures and some which were missed. All clips are short, no more than 13 seconds and usually less than 10. Here are a few successful captures: And here are some clips showing...

    OpenALPR Missed This One ....

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Tweaking the settings gets to be tough after a while because, as you point out, it captures some things which are unexpected and then misses things it seems like it should read.

    OpenALPR Missed This One ....

If you go through it frame by frame, you can see only 2 or 3 frames get completely washed out, while the frames preceding those and following those are quite clear. This is a consistent theme with missed plates at night. These are my Night-time cam (IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E) settings: Any...

US President Signs Bill Into Law Requiring FCC To Ban Further Authorizations of Dahua and Hikvision

More disingenuous BS. In your first incarnation as ipcdal, I ignored the troll indications and gave the benefit-of-the-doubt to try to address your questions, as did many others. Simple FACT is you came here claiming one thing, while clearly (now it's clear) pursuing another agenda. You don't...

US President Signs Bill Into Law Requiring FCC To Ban Further Authorizations of Dahua and Hikvision

Wait! So you are no longer claiming there is a ban of Dahua and Hikvision, correct? You are no longer accusing this site of promoting the purchase of banned equipment to unsuspecting Americans, correct? Your sole concern NOW is whether a potential FUTURE ban might render the equipment...

Yet another post about router choice...

I'm not familiar with that modem, but the Data Sheet says; "ARRIS designs its Gateways to be remotely manageable" and there is a specific section on the 2nd page of the Data Sheet entitled "Remote Management." If it is currently installed at your 2nd home, can you call Frontier and ask them how...

Yet another post about router choice...

That modem looks like it is for an incoming DSL connection. Is it supplying ONLY internet, or are you using it for telephony (VoIP) or other services? The Data Sheet for the modem indicates it has a decent featureset. There is VLAN capability as well as some firewall security and allows VPN...

New user trying to figure out an affordable POE-based Blue Iris system that doesn't use companies like Dahua, Hikvision or Reolink

Ethics has a way of doing that. For a very long time I refused to purchase Toshiba products, after learning of their sale of secret US submarine propeller technology to Russia. It still irks me, a LOT. But I am typing this from a Toshiba laptop right now. Since your focus is on Chinese...

New user trying to figure out an affordable POE-based Blue Iris system that doesn't use companies like Dahua, Hikvision or Reolink

Your original post asked for alternatives. You did say "affordable," but in many cases outside of Dahua or Hikvision (Nelly's being the exception) it is difficult to find the costs of some of these systems. Case in point, one of the members here in another post referred to Vitek equipment and...

how do you isolate cameras from the inetent?

Taking your last question first - no, I don't have 2 internet connections. I thought configuring link aggregation between the cable modem and the router would be straight forward since they are both Netgear products. The pipe coming in is only 1Gb, but as I understand link aggregation, it...

You may (emphasis on may) mean well, but your delivery SUCKS. Condescension reeks from your pores. Again I should confess ignorance over whatever may have transpired in the many pages of exchange here in IPC, but what I found here is a group of people who; (a) want to protect their person...

how do you isolate cameras from the inetent?

You raised a really good question. Yes, the pfSense firewall would perform DHCP routing and firewall services. In a broad sense, it is a direct swap. My rationale for the change is as follows: * Netgear currently provides firewall protection through the Nighthawk router. Separately Netgear...
