    But if blue iris is made by the same company as lorex, wouldn't the software be just as bad? I'm looking for a Linux compatible product. Windows is spyware.

    I learnt the hard way just how rubbish lorex software is. The cameras however are decent, just massively let down by the lazyness of the developers. Can these lorex cams.be used with any other systems? Are their any good open source alternatives out there?
