Loryta IPC-HFW7442H-Z4-X - what fitting for junction box?

Does anyone know what type of fitting fits the junction box that comes with the IPC-HFW7442H-Z4-X? The hole appears to me 24mm, so it doesn't look like a 1/2 or 3/4" conduit male adapter is going to work.

Okay, good to know. I will hook up the camera again and go through the settings to see what I can find.

I'm not quite sure how this works yet; I'll update once I get it set up. :) The utility companies finally marked things out so I'll have to get some time to put the post in.

Cool, sounds like some reasonable improvements. Have you tried the ALPR on it yet? I found the configuration for that a bit odd; I'm on a small residential road so I'm not sure the concept of lanes really is going to work.

What types of things did the new firmware fix/add? I haven't tried yet; did Andy recommend that? I'm not sure if he has different firmwares.

    Loryta IPC-HFW7442H-Z4-X first impression

My Andy-branded IPC-HFW7442H-Z4-X arrived yesterday from Amazon so I hooked it up and did some of the initial setup. Here is my first impressions: 1. The UX on this model is FAR better than on my older 2mp starlights. Although video works just fine on Chrome, one gripe I have is that the camera...

What is everyone doing with the plate numbers they ALPR?

I was thinking to detect abnormal cars automatically; I suspect that the cars going down the street are pretty pretty predictable. People generally take the same routes all the time, so finding a vehicle that is "out of place" shouldn't be too hard. The car counting seems like a simple one...

What is everyone doing with the plate numbers they ALPR?

Curious what everyone does with the plate numbers they ALPR? I'm thinking of writing a small app to track plates read, time/date and a link back to the BI clip. I feel like it would be pretty easy to recognize new plates or abnormal traffic patterns. I haven't seen anything out there that...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

I don't appear to have that installed: This is definitely a CUDA driver problem though; if I switch the license plate module to use CPU then it does read plate numbers perfectly. BI even picks them up.. Nice! I'll run the script from CodeProject.ai that installs the right drivers and...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

I'm just trying to get CodeProject to recognize a sample plate fed manually directly into CodeProject and it won't read the plate number. I do have "ALPR for Plates" turned on BI AI settings: And I am using the license-plate custom module as well. BI also does not read the plates. I'll...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Long thread! :) I've got plate detection running in my BI setup, but I'm not able to get the plate numbers to read. I can successfully detect DayPlate (and NightPlate); ie using one of the samples: However, the actual LPR reading isn't returning results: I am using Cuda 11: And the ALPR...

What is the purpose of "ONVIF Events" as a filter in the BI app's alerts list?

I activated ONVIF on a camera for the first time yesterday; it works great so far. I see the camera reported events marked as "external" triggers in my main alert list (which does seem to be configurable). I noticed in the BI app that there is an option to filter to show only "ONVIF Events"...

First LPR... bit of a challenging location, but we'll see if it can work.

I'm thinking this will be the easiest option as well. I can either try to fashion a bracket that will attach to a branch on the tree, or I can simply just mount the camera higher up on a post that goes into the tree. I suspect the latter will be easier given this tree doesn't have extremely...

First LPR... bit of a challenging location, but we'll see if it can work.

That's a good idea; I do have a 5231R-ZE (2MP starlight) that isn't in the best spot right now. It is close enough I could jerry-rig it into that spot for testing purposes. Although the onboard IR in the bullet works great I'll have to mount an external IR; being near to a tree this this is a...

First LPR... bit of a challenging location, but we'll see if it can work.

My wife informs me the camera is FAR too obvious and she thinks it'll walk away. This is too big to "birdhouse-ify", and a ground birdhouse would be unique. I'll have to think about this more; I might be able to hide it in the lemon tree; downside is it'll be a lot of work to keep that pruned...

First LPR... bit of a challenging location, but we'll see if it can work.

Here is how I have my LPR camera set up right now temporarily. I'm not super happy with how the possible locations are shaking out for this. I would like to move it more toward the street; ideally down behind the mailbox, but there is a power transformer vault and two utility boxes there and...

3D printed Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E Junction box

I finished this off.. Here is the finished design: Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E Junction box by tygunn In the final design I chamfered the edges of the lid, and I raised the lip where the cable gland goes just a hair. I also made a recess on the inside of the box so that the PG-9 cable gland...

3D printed Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E Junction box

First I'll caveat this with: Does Andy make great inexpensive junction boxes? Yes, yes he does. However, I figured why not spend 4x the effort and 3d print my own! I still need to 3d print the TPU gasket for between the top and bottom part, and a gland for the cables behind the camera. The...

Wiregaurd to remotely Access BlueIris on PC?

Yeah, the web gui is actually quite good. Unlike the mobile app, you can filter for alerts in the different zones, etc. I find its pretty much on par with the actual desktop app.

Wiregaurd to remotely Access BlueIris on PC?

Cool, then yeah I think Windows Remote Desktop is likely a decent route for that. Enable Remote Desktop on your PC Its definitely not a super secure protocol but if you're VPNed into a secured network, then I think its a reasonable solution. The web GUI for BI on your laptop would honestly...

Wiregaurd to remotely Access BlueIris on PC?

Got it, got it.. Once you're on your local network I've found that the quickest way to access BI is via the BlueIris app. The BlueIris web gui is also another option via your phone's browser, though I found it was a bit frustrating to use when bandwidth was limited (not the web ui's fault)...

Which infrared beam sensor are you using? I'm using a Seco-Larm dual sensor: https://www.amazon.com/Seco-Larm-960-D90Q-Photo-Detectors-Alignment/dp/B002WV19DM It runs across my entire front yard and triggers an ESP8266 to report to my HomeAssistant setup. So far it has been extremely reliable.

Wiregaurd to remotely Access BlueIris on PC?

If you want a dead-simple VPN setup, I recommend PI VPN: PIVPN: Simplest way to setup a VPN I used it to set up a Wireguard server and just punched the couple of ports it required through my router. I've used OpenVPN before and it works great as well. Wireguard is definitely easier; you can...
