Investing in solar makes zero sense here. I used over 2100 kWh in July and paid about $20 USD. Only reason to invest in storage is to make it through blackouts. Solar does still interest me but as you say, storage is the priority. -

Starlink - anyone have it?
People with fibre poopoo the Starlink latency which is around 25ms. Unless one is a hardcore gamer, 25ms is incredible. I remember trying to play Quake 1 online with 250ms latency with DSL in the mid 90s. My latency here in Cuba is around 130ms with 4G and 100ms through the Nano connection... -

There may be a dusk to dawn sensor for the circuit so they all come on at the same time. But I'm sure they shut the circuit down if there are power issues.- CanCuba
