    Quick Question. Camera’s RJ45

    I was going to mount the fisheye under the overhang but the picture was horrible since half of the frame was the wall. I can do it wall mounted and there is a little space between the stone and the wood trim to fish the cable. I do not want the cameras pigtails (audio, power, RJ45 visible).

    Resolved!!! I took down the cameras and plugged them directly into the POE. From what I witnessed, the POE doesn't assign IPs in order but a specific IP for each port. As all three cameras where plugged into the same port via the extender, they were all assigned the same IP address. After...

    Thank you. The cameras are still having issues connecting, seem to be the ones on the POE extender. Looking at the list, there is at least one IP address conflict. Thinking of going into each camera and assigning a static address for each.

    Thanks, I did see coax seal mentioned in other threads; unfortunately I didn't think of it sooner. My di-electric grease did arrive this morning. I do have a can of white Flex Seal which will definitely seal the connector; just wanted to check if anyone had any negative experiences doing so.
