Recommendations for IP camera to record and live stream my bird feeder (4k, 25fps+ and less than $200)

Like I said, it doesn't but it does have a connector for attaching a mic. Not sure what kind of connector you can google that.

Recommendations for IP camera to record and live stream my bird feeder (4k, 25fps+ and less than $200)

May I suggest a Hikvision 2385G1. I have one in 4mm flavor on the way. Does 8MP and 20FPS with a decent 1/2" sensor, Darkfighter. No audio but it has audio input. 150usd or so from Andy shipped. Can't wait to set it up.

Lightning fried my systems, seeking relacement suggestions

Agreed. I made the same mistake and mounted my 5442 11 feet high. I've lowered it to 7 feet.

6mm lens, price & performance of IPC-T2431T-AS exist?

Doesn't exist in 6mm I believe. I'd recommend a 5442 6mm since 2431 night performance isn't as good due to small 1/3" sensor. It's really just a budget "overview" camera where you already have decent lighting.

Review-Loryta OEM 4MP IPC-T2347G-LU ColorVu Fixed Turret Network 4mm lens & Junction Box

Doesn't really help, already been playing with shutter/gain and others. Having issues where some parts like faces get too washed out or overall it ends up too dim. Trying 1/30 shutter and 0-70 gain right now on my 5442, probably about as good as it gets for night profile.

Review-Loryta OEM 4MP IPC-T2347G-LU ColorVu Fixed Turret Network 4mm lens & Junction Box

May I ask, what settings work best for you for night profile on 5442 ? Been trying to play with different stuff, can't decide what to use.

IPC 4k 8MP 25-30fps hard to find - current generations

So you don't like Gui of Hik (doesn't matter, just set it and forget it) so you went for an expensive camera from random manufacturer without having any idea about their own Gui / software ? Balsy move lol Edit: ABUS might be Hik https://ipvm.com/reports/hik-oems-dir

IPC 4k 8MP 25-30fps hard to find - current generations

Did you consider the Hikvision 2385? Do let us know how that one performs btw.

IPC 4k 8MP 25-30fps hard to find - current generations

Pretty expensive hmm. Who is the OEM manufacturer or is that their own product?

IPC 4k 8MP 25-30fps hard to find - current generations

I would argue lower framerate = better quality (assuming bitrate is fixed) since that bandwidth is spread out over less frames. Higher framerate is only really needed to capture more frames of fast moving things and I like capturing pictures of birds that fly by cameras! I guess it all depends...

Ordered a 2385 4mm from Andy. Will post results and comparisons with 5442 3.6mm

Different one. It's this darkfighter one.

Dahua IPC HDW 5442TM-AS best settings for night view??and face recognition

Yup it needs some dialing in depending on lighting. Shutter speed should be faster but will result in dimmer picture. Best bet is add more lighting, reduce shutter and then adjust exposure and other settings accordingly. I'm running mine in auto right now but that's because I'm still adding...

IPC 4k 8MP 25-30fps hard to find - current generations

Personally I like 20 FPS as a minimum. I've tried 15 and just wasn't happy with it, too much missing frames especially on fast moving things. Also tried 25/30 and felt the extra increase wasn't as much of an improvement as upping 15 to 20 was. So I'm currently running both my 2431 and 5442 at...

IPC 4k 8MP 25-30fps hard to find - current generations

Honestly Dahua lost a sale. I just ordered a Hikvision 2385 from Andy. Nice 1/2" sensor + 4K + Audio + 20 FPS + 16 Mbps Why would I cheap out and get a crappy 2831 with puny 1/2.7" sensor + no audio + 15 FPS + 8mbps all to save a few dollars only. Hik is slapping Dahua silly when it comes...

    SD Cards Longevity question

JUST GET HIGH ENDURANCE AND BE DONE WITH IT. Samsung Pro Endurance. Sandisk High Endurance. etc Honestly cards are so cheap now. Even in canada they are cheap so I can imagine you yankies can get em for a few bucks. Just get the good high endurance ones. Should last years.

Amcrest dash cam on sale for $22 on Amazon

Yeah this is true. Anything is better than nothing. Same with CCTV, better to have a single wyze or reolink or ANYTHING rather than nothing at all. Even if just for insurance purposes (for determining fault etc) and not for exact ID. I got a new 2019 Hybrid so I yolod for a Thinkware dual...

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

Depends on angle and how far away. Might be fine if zoomed in far away. My current cams are mounted 11 feet high because soffit is high. Not working too well for ID purposes of potential car thief / vandalizer.

My experience is you dont want to have cams that high up. I will be moving my 5442 down.

IPC-T2385G-I Hikvision 8MP fixed turret (night videos added)

About the field of view. So you are saying the 4mm here is actually likely closer in line to a Dahua 3.6mm roughly ? That would seem perfect in my case to replace my high up 5442 overview cam with a 4K

Nice but a small 1/2.8" sensor sadly. Probably good for day / well light areas at night.

Review- OEM IPC-T2831T-ZS 4k varifocal starlight turret & PFB203W Wall Bracket.

I wanted to leave them under soffit for protection against rain. I could move them down but it would risk them getting wet maybe, something I'll experiment with in the future. I have the 3.6mm not the varifocal. By the zooming I meant if I was to relocate it then the 3.6 ends up being wider...

Review- OEM IPC-T2831T-ZS 4k varifocal starlight turret & PFB203W Wall Bracket.

Yeah I'm on the fence. My 5442 3.6 mm as an overview camera just doesn't have the resolution during the day for catching plates or even enough details of people walking by on sidewalk right in front of the house. It makes a nice overview picture but the second I start to zoom in, theres...
