Anyone set up one of these in tinycam? I can get a pic, but it takes a long time to come in and then cuts out after a short time. I think I tried almost all the hikvision cam choices just to see which one works better and they are all less than 5fps. Cam is set to 30.- danbutter

Mine wasn't greyed out it just wasn't functional, but there are two suggestions in the last three posts before yours. Try running as admin or try ivms4200 to upgrade.- danbutter

Well I ended up using ivms-4200 and was able to successfully upgrade. After all three upgrades were done I rechecked the web ui and could only see the same folder. Very strange. Not sure if my PC or cameras fault, but either way I got it upgraded! Thanks for the help.- danbutter

Ok I picked one of these up to play with and I tried to update after downloading the files linked above. Problem is when I try there is nothing in that directory where I saved and extracted them. The only folder that shows up is actually from another hik cam that I have since I recently upgraded...- danbutter

Linux: Remove, Rename and Watermark Snapshots
Would be nice to see an option to modify this.... it is quite annoying to have all those folders. These little things are why it is hard to choose between dahua and hikvision as they don't do this. At least on the one I have. -

I personally would remove it and take it inside then hang over/in front of a dehumidifier for a week or so to dry it all out. Then as already said replace desiccant packs. These might not be the right size, but you can go from there... -

I updated the firmware, but only for ntsc vs pal. My version is: 2.422.0000.0.R.4.2510, Build Date: 2016-09-21 I've been wondering if this is why none of the urls I'm finding work to get a snapshot from the camera. -

How to view Dahua cameras with SmartPhone
This works as advertised for tinycam, but is there a way to do it via url? I want to be able to share the stream on occasion, but I can't have others sucking up all my upload bandwidth each time they decide to see if it is snowing at my house. -

Thanks for the link. Never would have thought to look at the italian website. I upgraded then reset to defaults and the FTP is still not working. It seems to want to go to a directory that is the serial number with another sub folder of 2000-01-01. So I made these folders under the root dir... -

Just got one of these from @EMPIRETECANDY. Got it setup on a temp location, but having some issues. Can't seem to get it to work with my FTP. Have tested the FTP locally. It is all inside one network on the same subnet. My hikvision camera and an FTP client on my pc have no issues with it...
