Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

No the IR lights are in the housing and have a power cable that connects to the main camera board. I suppose you could just unplug them, but I did not test and mine is mounted now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I tried to see if I could rotate the camera and I couldn't but the pictures might be helpful for someone. More than two pictures in the album if you view on Imgur, but only 2 show up here for some reason. Inside board photo:

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I searched and found bits and pieces, but here is how I configured my RCA HSDB1 from eBay. I wired it up and waited for it to ask me to config wifi. I used the HIK Connect app (they are all the same) and signed up for an account and followed prompts to connect to Wifi. I checked my wifi router...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I wonder if I can rotate the lens if I take the cover off? Has anyone done a teardown on these units? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

These look pretty interesting. With my siding and I would like to install this sideways and just rotate the video in BI. Any issues? It should give full height coverage for someone walking up the door and be able to see head and packages on the ground at the same time I would think. Also, is...

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Just some dude - did you paint that vinyl mounting block or happen to get it at the same color as your house? I am seeing only some standard colors at the big box hardware stores and without special ordering, I might have to get white and paint it...I don't like that idea at all. Also, curious...

Warning You Are Being Recorded - Decals/Signs

Not enforced so not a big deal. Good to know. I think the defining factor is areas where there is no expectation of privacy...at least for video.

Warning You Are Being Recorded - Decals/Signs

Can you direct me to any resources on how the consent rule applies to security cameras from your experience. I was reading something very similar to this: "One Party Consent" means that only the person doing the recording has to give consent and does not have to notify the other party or...

Warning You Are Being Recorded - Decals/Signs

I did a few quick google searches. My state is one party consent, so I don't need to ask for audio. I am still a bit hesitant about advertising I have cameras. If you aren't tech savy you might not even notice them, but when I put up a sign, I might get people asking if I need them due to the...

Warning You Are Being Recorded - Decals/Signs

I see these being placed near the front door on some pictures people post here. Is this just best practice or requirements in some places? I am thinking I will be catching the mail man, UPS guy, general public, etc. Should I have the sign up or is just common courtesy? With the advent of the...

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Mine is going to be straight on I think, so I will have to see what makes the most sense. Appreciate the follow up and thanks for the photos.

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Yes, I was already planning on using one of my 5231's for an overview shot of the porch with approach and packages and the 4231 for door face ID.

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

Great job! I wan to do the same but also add the doorbell right below the cam. Hopefully the glow from the doorbell button won't impact picture quality. Did you find that putting it in corridor mode sideways works best for FOV and people approaching your door? Seems like it might be a bit much...

    Blue Iris UI3

Just swapped out UI2 with UI3. Only question is will there any updates to the iPhone.htm interface? Or was that not part of UI2 and just part of the base web interface with BI? Looks slick and appears to be operating quickly. I particularly love the right click context menus when I am on my PC...

    Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

I've been playing around with the idea of getting a vinyl mounting plate for a receptacle and putting a Dahua mini wedge and my doorbell inside of that right next to my door. I am only concerned about the morning sunlight degrading the dome, but if I can get many years out of it, it still might...

    Suggestions for Ethernet-connected BI monitor

Even cheaper is the Fire TV Stick. You can use Chrome or Firefox and just open the browser page. $40 and some time on Youtube figuring out how to download the various APKs. The one thing I am still playing with is getting it to open full screen without a top address bar.

Wall Mount Network Closet Panel Layout

Small update. I did decide to switch walls and the wall storage rack just fits between corner and sump pump with still enough access. I need to run a cable to the office before I can swap the modem/router downstairs. The rest of the cabling might require a few days off for me from work to get...

    Door Cam w HDBW4231F-AS

Ok, I guess I was looking for the word "corridor" or hallway as I have seen people call it that many times here. I see the rotate option and should have just tried it. Thanks!

    Door Cam w HDBW4231F-AS

Thanks for the response. A few more if you don't mind. I was considering getting the cheapest chrome stick or intel computestick that can be powered off the USB from a display and then either remoting into my BI server or just going to my server webpage. The webpage wouldn't be as quick to...

    Door Cam w HDBW4231F-AS

A few questions. How are you viewing your camera feeds on that 4K TV? Do you have a small PC mounted behind it viewing a webpage? Are you remoting into your server? Also, is it possible to rotate the view so that the people walking to the door aren't sideways in your software?

    BI Switching Profiles Manually

I am having this same issue. Did this ever get resolved? My profile 1 is "Away". My profile 2 is "Home". I am trying to use Geofence, but every now and then I have to hit profile because my phone is dead or my wife's phone is dead. It seems to timeout and then go to profile "none" which results...

Wall Mount Network Closet Panel Layout

Great idea! The Unifi controller gives you an topology diagram once it is all hooked up and configured. I may see if I can print that out, might save some time. :)

Wall Mount Network Closet Panel Layout

Those are natural gas pipes out of the gas manifold. No risk of water damage. I can't put the storage shelf on that wall as the sump pump is on the floor right by the water heater. I like the wall mount flat approach to save as much space in the small utility closet.

Wall Mount Network Closet Panel Layout

Good idea on the panduct. I already have a 1,000ft roll of CAT6 solid cable so buying premade cables is out. Also, I don't really know the distances so it is impractical to prepurchase terminated cables. I was planning to buy premade patches for between patch panel and the switch. I suppose...

Wall Mount Network Closet Panel Layout

Here is what I am thinking. Any thoughts to improve? This is my first one and I have never punched down before or created by own Ethernet cables. I am thinking I can probably easily use 12 of my 16 port switch down here with at least (3) APs, (6) Cameras, and (3) network drops to rooms (office...

    Surface Raceway?

Good idea on the PVC. Perhaps I put a large junction box at the wall where I come from basement utility room out into garage and then a straight PVC conduit up from there to the attic. I can pull sufficient length from the basement through J-box and then pull that length of cable up the conduit...

    Surface Raceway?

I should clarify, I meant that the garage shares the same wall as my basement utility room. This is a single detached home. I do still need to be concerned about fire/smoke spreading from basement to the upstairs though. Thanks for the comments. The cable I purchased is CMR from Monoprice...

    Surface Raceway?

I want to route a few Ethernet cables from a basement utility room, up through the garage (shared wall) and into my attic. Due to the offset, and wall insulation, I don't think I will have the capability (or maybe patience) to fish it all in the wall and was considering surface raceway for the...

Blue Iris compatible doorbell/intercom/2 way audio

Apparently it is Wifi AC, Bluetooth, and Thread protocol for connectivity. No word on power source, but allows 24/7 viewing (not recording) so it seems if it is battery powered it won't last long, or it might be powered off low voltage from doorbell wiring. https://www.pcmag.com/review/356367/
