Costco now starts selling Lorex 4K+ NVR system for $299.99

Those would make good toilet cams. After installation just flush! :p

Animal detection seems to be working pretty good so far.

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

Both the D120 and D110 now come with a 24v PSU. 1 amp for the D110 and 1.5 amp for the D120. Here's a snippit from their Amazon ad. "1x 110-240Vac to 24V DC 1A power adapter (2023 updated from 12V DC ones to avoid pressure drop and loss of brightness after using long extension cable)"

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

What kind of pattern does the D120 have? I have basically a 36' wide by 60' area I'd like to light up. Was thinking maybe one D120 or two of the smaller D110's.

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

I swapped out my PSU's with better spec'd (12v 2 amp) units right out of the gate. One of my illuminators was turning off randomly and then back on which is why I did that. I also made my own extension cables using 18 Awg since I was going 30'.

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

15 months and my Tendelux illuminators are still going strong. Matter of fact I'm about to buy a few more for the new cameras at the back of my shop. After using these, I don't really care for onboard camera IR........at least not for outdoor use.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Oh, I did the same with the T-180 I just got and it too is working fine. Probably going to leave the rest of my 4K-T's on the older firmware.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Well I took one for the team and installed the V3.140.0000000.22.R firmware again on one of my 4K-T's. This time I cleared everything on IE first. It did want me to install a plugin which I did. Anyway, it's nice and dark here now and the firmware is working just fine.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

With the V3.140.0000000.22.R firmware the daytime image was perfectly fine though. It was only going into garble mode after a certain level of darkness.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Interesting. Even if I was using an older plugin and that was causing the issue, why is it not causing the same issue with other firmware on the same camera?

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

I too was showing drop outs in my log on all five of my 4K T cams. I never ever actually lost an image on any of them. Like others I checked Decoder compatibility mode and the log is now clean seven hours later with no drop out entries.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Hard to say. I know my 4K-T's have lost power in outages before and returned to service no problem.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

The version Andy sent me is V3.120.0000000.39.R.230918. I can confirm this firmware version works perfectly fine on my end.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Yeah, it sure does seem like a bug. I just received a 4K-T180 from Andy and there's no way I'm updating to this firmware.......unless of course it's already on the 180. Havent even set it up yet.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

All my other 4K T's are running 3.120.0000000.14.R 2023-02-27 firmware.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Yes, rolled back and everything is fine. Was there something in the release notes that fixed a problem I was having? Absolutely not! haha! I just wanted to see the new maintenance center that it included.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Yes I edited my above post to include that I was using H264. With my other 4k-T's, if I turn off my LED light fixtures, the image just gets darker and you can see the camera making adjustments from viewing the image. When doing this with the camera with this new firmware, it wouldn't even try...

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

I updated one of my 4K-T cams with V3.140.0000000.22.R and had nothing but trouble. This certain cam has always been in self adaptive mode because it just works for its location and what I'm using it for. With the new firmware it seems like self adaptive mode is broken. The day time image was...

I too have not noticed any issues with my 4K T's after losing power. Mine are all on the original updated new UI firmware as well.

My Dahua NVR5432 was hacked last week!

Key loggers can be pretty scary. Maybe the OP could put all his passwords on an encrypted thumb drive. When he needs to use a password you could plug in the thumb drive and copy and paste the passwords. No key strokes. Pain in the butt for sure but better than getting hacked.

I would just buy pre-terminated fiber optic lines in the lenghts you need. Easy Peasy!

Need Your Help to Decide between T54IR-ZE and Color4K-T and How to Install It

Or you could do what I did. I have five of the 4KT cams deployed around my home. At the time of buying them, I had no outside lighting around my home beyond a simple porch light. I decided instead of using the onboard LED's on the 4Kt's, I would implement a complete out door lighting system...

Cams and internet connectivity at driveway gate

I just ran fiber optic cable to my detatched shop. I needed an AP out there and also wanted to add more cameras to my isolated switch. I ended up running two FO lines out there. You may have to do the same for your set up.

Review- EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 4mp Varifocal Turret

Now that I have my fiber optic run to my detatched shop, I'm thinking three of these IPC-T541R-SE-S3's will do nicely out there. :)

    Internet to my detatched shop

The Home Depot I went to didn't have a core drill available in the size I needed. I ended up just going through the foundation vent. I did what I think is an eloquent job by using a galvanized steel sandwitched gasget for the vent penetration. Then I added a small rock landscape using one of...

    Internet to my detatched shop

I wasn't really looking for the easiest option. I just prefer hard wired when possible. Point to point would have been fine I'm sure but I'm glad I went fiber optic.

    HOME ASSISTANT (Assist) Voice Assistant

Seems like the best set up would be to just buy a small speaker and attach this device to the back where it can't be seen.
