Have you tried contacting Longse? If you have one of their cameras then they will probably help.

Upgrading existing CCTV system from Analog to Digital

I know this is IPcamtalk but I would personally look to see if LTS TVI or Dahua TVI will suit your needs. No need to put new cable in and the quality is pretty much the same. If this was a NEW install then I would do IP. I like the new Matrix IR (double EXIR basically) range

Hikvision Firmware Upgrade Problems or Not?

No surprise by the reply... or lack of. Are Australia versions not WR serialed? If so, then the Hikvision Europe website ones will work for the cameras. If I lived in Oz (and still bought Hik) then I'd buy all my Hikvision cameras from AE.

Is this quote good? From security camera company...

^^^^ This Basically what I was about to write. I would have a combination of wider angle (3.6mm / 4mm) covering the area and a more zoomed in (6mm/8mm/12mm) one for a number plate. You need to read more on here rather then hoping people will magic up the right answer without knowing the exact...

Dahua NVR Reboots during the day

Good news. Stating the obvious maybe but when you are in and can have no recording - you have tried no HDD connected? Common problem in Hikvision NVRs with reboots is the HDD and not the NVR.

    Upgrading from bricked 5.10

I would just update it to 5.1.6 and keep it on an isolated network (i.e. not connected to the internet). That's the version I run for my DS-2CD2032-I which has been ultra reliable from day 1.

    Hard Disk Failure

Bit more info might help. Model numbers, symptoms etc. Dahua NVRs do a S.M.A.R.T. check - is that failing?

Unbricking DS-2CD2432F-IW help, no luck with 5.30 downgrader

If only it was that easy... A reboot of any kind defaults all settings? Never heard that one before. How are you logging into the camera to change settings?

DS-2CD2032F-I - doesn't work (not detected) LED lights ON

Have you set YOUR ip address to static 192.0.0.128 ? And turned off all other connections (wifi etc). This is probably why you can't get the firmware on. If you get 5.4.0 on then confirm the letters part of the serial number here and I will try help you with another firmware. Btw - I share your...

Unbricking DS-2CD2432F-IW help, no luck with 5.30 downgrader

From my understanding of your issues. You've got it back to v5.2.5 using the downgrader. Great. You now want to update it. Well you can't. Doing so will just keep re-bricking your camera. So stop.

    IPCam > NVR

With so little information it's hard to know. Generally this is it setting the camera to H264 or H265. But also could be because you have a DVR or XVR and not an NVR. If I put petrol in my car will it work? See where I'm coming from?

    NVR for 8x4Mpixel cameras

Check out the Dahua Starlight thread but I would use those in darker areas only. Everyone has a different view! My 4431 or 4421 (can't remember) do 25fps

    NVR for 8x4Mpixel cameras

Actually I've changed my mind - didn't realise they did this one: 16 channels and 8 poe ports. You can add some more cameras later then and the price difference isn't that big. NVR4216-8P

    NVR for 8x4Mpixel cameras

Yes, get the NVR4208-8P if you want more space. I paid £200 in the UK for mine, so it should be about that locally. 15fps is ok but 25fps isn't much more and 8mbit/s max vbr is fine for that I find. If on a budget and this is for residential, then I'd get NVR4108-8P + 6TB HDD. 6TB is plenty...

    NVR for 8x4Mpixel cameras

You don't need 320Mbps for 8 cameras. Save yourself some cash and get the NVR4108-8P for one HDD or NVR4208-8P for two HDDs You need 80mbps max for 8 cameras. If you own a busy shop with 8 cameras running this will still be ok, so 80Mbps is plenty as you'll run the cameras at 8Mbps variable...

Getting a Hikvision WiFi Cube cam to record to Hikvision NVR?

I'm pretty sure you don't have the camera connected to the NVR. Can you login to the NVR and post a screenshot of the IP numbers on the camera management page? I can help you configure it from there.

Dash Cam with GPS, Wi-Fi and automatic transfer

Doesn't have wifi but my Mini 0806 is still going strong. Will be buying another if it dies - so many people complain about dash cameras dying etc that reliability for me is no 1 when the quality isn't too much different. I tried the M6+ and wasn't impressed by the video quality vs the Mini...

Firmware update failed? Brown box? CH serial? (and UK sorry)

If those 3 things apply to your camera and you've tried fixing it but failed, then I'm looking for your camera to fix for free! I want to do a little write-up to help others but don't want to deliberately brick one of my own cameras. Let me know!

2 IP cameras on 1 CAT6 cable - Need suggestions

You can wire one Cat6 to be 2x basic ethernet with no power by using the different twisted pairs. Cat6 probably would go 150ft but personally I'd put another cable in or use a wireless camera for the extra one (wifi is ok for one or two cameras not an entire system!)

Dahua NVR Reboots during the day

Do some more research. A few people have a minor problem with a Dahua NVR. Hundreds come here with issues with Hikvision. Yet you lean more to the latter now? Every setup can have teething issues, if you want no install problems get a analog cabled kit but be prepared for rubbish quality...

No, it will generally write direct to disk. Caveat: depends on everything - what camera, what nvr etc

WDR PTZ CAMERA PROBLEMS (firmware ? )

This isn't a very common camera here so will be hard for most of us to try and diagnose successfully. What did Hikvision support say? This is a good write up so if they can't help this then.... well.... I don't have this issue on my non-Hik domes so I can only assume it's software.

Hikvision Firmware Upgrade Problems or Not?

Bit different in the UK maybe but if you try contacting Hikvision support they are beyond useless. They suggested to a friend of mine that he couldn't add a new camera because his firmware version was really really old (it was one from the latest). When the firmware update failed and bricked the...
