So you're a CCTV trade professional then? Because that's the only way you can buy from one of the Hikvision distributors. Unless of course you mean Amazon which isn't a main distributor. Try to help people here help you with some actual information - even some basic stuff. What's the model...

    SUNBA 1080P HD, PoE+, 20X - 601-D20X

Three years for a cheapie isn't bad! I was expecting much less. Sunba too big for me. My Huisun still going well but I bought it as a cheap punt.

Get yourself a Dahua NVR 16x to go with it - I'm really pleased with the one I got my sister having come from Hikvision

    DS-2CD2642FWD-IZS OEM Firmware

Only from the supplier for OEM. But I would ask... why? Why do you need to update the firmware yourself?

DS-2CD2032F-I - doesn't work (not detected) LED lights ON

If you can ping it then you can most probably TFTP it. DS-2CD2142FWD-I if you have WR versions (check the serial) you can download the firmware from Hikvision Europe website. Btw. v4.1 was never a firmware for that. It started at 5.3.3, so I guess you mean 5.4.1 I have 5.3.3 and 5.3.6 on all...

Is there an easy way to resent the admin password on HIKVISION IP cams?

I would write the password down - it's getting harder to reset it but soon I'll be making a how-to post to help everyone who's told to go away by the amazingly bad Hikvision support

Where to buy new Hikvision "Easy IP 3.0" Cameras

Hmmm, that doesn't sound good. A bit like when 5.3.3 on some 4MP cameras when they first came out were dodgy. I remember arguing (I mean debating) with whoslooking that mine were fine when his weren't. In the end we were both right!

Where to buy new Hikvision "Easy IP 3.0" Cameras

"their website"? You mean your website which you started yesterday and just updated. Why lie about this stuff? I'm ok with people promoting their wares when they have good products, prices and services but at least have some basic honesty about it.

    Buying a nvr

Do you need a 16-channel model? If you're on a budget you can get the DS-7604NI-E1/4P with PoE ports local including VAT and shipping for around the same price. I would still get a E over an I as it's about value for money for most people. Hobbyists sure, get an I, that's different.

    Dahua or Hikvision IP Camera

Same (although far less installs because I'm not a pro and only do friends and family). I won't go back to Hikvision now, if LTS was available here I would use them as they have an R&D team in USA for firmware, or so I have been told. BTW HDW4300C (sorry don't have the 4MP version) has a metal base.

    DS-7604NI-E1/4P v DS-7104N-SN/P

Sister has 7104 and it's great but only 2MP. No fan, easy to use and cheap. Perfect for her house. If you're on a budget than 7104 is miles better than Analog TVL crap. I have 76xx but I'm probably not your average consumer but for a home I find 2MP low-light fine.

    Dahua NVR4216-8P-4K & Hikvision

Not possible because Hikvision uses a different protocol. You need "Hikvision Compatible" etc for it to work not just ONVIF. Another reason to avoid Hikvision.

    Dahua NVR4216-8P-4K & Hikvision

    1) Don't know 2) Yes you can, set them up as ONVIF. In future buy Dahua or ONVIF cameras for this NVR.

Updated NVR firmware published - NVR_78_79_EXX_V3.4.80_160718.zip

I updated via web-gui from 3.3.4 to 3.4.6 no problem. So you might want to try that jump.

are my hikvision cameras and nvr running latest firmware?

I'm not sure you will but it's your cameras and NVR and I've already warned you. Cameras v5.4.0, NVR v3.4.80

    Mixing Cameras & NVR Compatibility

are my hikvision cameras and nvr running latest firmware?

No, but do some research before updating the firmware or you'll get yourself in all types of trouble.

    Hik NVR selection

I2 if you are using H.265 cameras now. E2 if you are using H.264 cameras now. Future-proofing this stuff is a fool's endeavour. Hikvision's firmware is shocking for that. Better to save money and put it aside for future proofing. As you are probably using 4MP H.264 cameras from Hikvision then...

    HIKVISION DS-7604NI-E1/4P - Export

Is there not a USB port on the back also? Above the LAN port? Also VLC will play Hikvision H.264 but you might end up with greening or some blurring (I don't know how to best describe it). Windows Media Player in Windows 7 to 10 comes with H.264 codec the issue is that it's H.264 isn't...

    HIKVISION DS-7604NI-E1/4P - Export

Use the front port for the usb stick. I'm assuming 7604NI-E1/4P has one as I haven't used one. They will need VSplayer same as most CCTV they have their own version of H.264

HikVision and Powerline Adapter help please! (And Synology)

I think this is also 80Mbps half-duplex. You're not going to have any streaming issues 80Mbps on Netflix, which is why my word of warning is to divide any speeds by 10 to get the conservative real speed of these. I also recommend divide wifi speed by 2. Wired speed, well divide that by 1 :-) I...

HikVision and Powerline Adapter help please! (And Synology)

I had the same issues as @rotorwash as many of you know. I also upgraded to Denovo which are the "best" ones from expert and user reviews. And Got a 450Mbps link to my NVR. But I ended up with real-time stuttering. Clicked the Cat5e cable back in and all fine again. Just for a test I connected...

    HDW4431C-A : Doorway Camera?

Vertical FoV is not 90 degrees. If you rotate the camera 90 degrees you might get a better picture or what you are trying to record.
  25. D

    HDW4431C-A : Doorway Camera?

I did say 2.8mm would be too wide. If the FOV is greater than 90 degrees and you put in a corner then you will end up videoing walls. You could rotate the camera 90 degrees.

firmware 5.4.0 for R6 anyone tried?

You really need to move it right. You know if someone is at the mailbox even if it's just out of view.

firmware 5.4.0 for R6 anyone tried?

Netherlands is 50Hz. Also pan the camera right and down a bit. The picture is never going to be great with a huge white door and light blinding your camera.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2T42WD-I5

Holy crap on a stick. How much? I'd want it setup properly for that.

firmware 5.4.0 for R6 anyone tried?

Turn DNR down to 20. Change fps to 25, change i-frame to 50. See what that does. I'm assuming you are Dutch? - - - Updated - - - Well that's a bummer as we can't get it to 5.3.8, well I can't on my 4MP one.
