    I recently upgraded my iphone to ios 12 and noticed that my camera that is in vertical orientation is having the notification image cropped and not showing the full alert image. Anyone else run into this issue and know the fix? It was working fine before on ios 10.

    Yeah, does get better with a faster shutter but the image gets too dark and noisy so obviously need some extra light. Now just to decide whether to stick with color or go with IR so I don't cause too much light pollution lol.

    I was messing around with it and it started working correctly and now I can't reproduce the issue. I noticed it was only happening with alert playback though and not when viewing clips. I'll keep an eye out and see if it happens again.

    To those that are running external IR, how are you running the power to them? I used POE for my cams and the location I'm looking to add extra IR is a decent sized run. Is it possible to power an external IR + cam from a single cable run with a POE splitter?

    I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the iOS app and not the server. The iOS app doesn't even attempt to connect to the server to grab the image.

    I am already using the same port number that is being forwarded so there is some other issue as well. You can port forward an external port to a different internal port. For example, running BI on port 81 and forwarding external port 82 to port 81.
