Mine a 2018 model and this is my current firmware. As to date, I don’t have any issue with it. I am using DMSS and direct to NVR by ip address with two port manually forwarded to NVR.- TechBill

I am not saying it safe to upgrade your NVR but I will tell you that I like living on the edge and always upgraded my NVR to the latest. My NVR is the 2017 model and still running with the latest firmware. The issue I am having is that the iDMSS app on my iPhone is very spotty at connecting...- TechBill

I am running the DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.2.R.220120 firmware from Dahua download site - Firmwares on my NVR52XX 2017 model .. So far no issue with NVR itself but I am having issue with DMSS app connecting to my live camera. I have to keep hitting the refresh icon to get camera...- TechBill

Latest DMSS cloud account hit n miss on camera connections
My DMSS is set up to use cloud account on Dahua because I liked how it track and save all triggers/events record in cloud however I noticed about a week ago, the camera connection is starting to become hit n miss. I had to keep clicking refresh several time to get my live camera connection... -
