Even though I had one of the Huisun v1 camera's fail, they're still my favorite PTZ camera's, so will most likely purchase more in the future. Like you, I'll probably wait for the next generation. -

Yep, it had two floppy drives and no hard drive when I bought it in 87. I remember paying over $2000 for it but it did include a monochrome (green) monitor. :) -

Yeah, the case is probably close to being that old but the motherboard is probably 8 or 9 years old. The floppy drive is in the bay but not connected. I still remember my first PC back in the late 80's. It had two 5.25" floppy drives and no hard drive. Later I upgraded it with a 30 meg hard... -

Yep, it's an old PC with a Core2 duo processor that I built years ago. Replaced the hard drive with a SSD recently and upgraded the ram to 8GB. I use it mainly to setup new cameras, routers, etc. Also upgraded to Windows 95 from Windows 3.1. (just kidding of course, it has Windows 7) :D -

The one I received doesn't have built-in PoE but it works fine with the included splitter. I don't have the camera mounted yet but have it temporarily setup on a tripod using the included PoE splitter and a Trendnet PoE+ injector as shown below. -

I'll be mounting the imporx on the outside of my garage, so the pigtail will be on the inside including the splitter, so it won't be a problem here. Will drill a hole large enough for the camera cables and the camera mount will cover the hole. -

The PoE splitter that was included with the camera does work when connected to my new PoE+ injector. Evidently the camera doesn't have built-in PoE. Not a big deal though since Jack did include the splitter. -

I tried a PoE injector and a PoE+ injector. Neither worked with the camera. Now I'm wondering if the camera has built-in Poe? -

Received mine today that I ordered from Jack on June 27th. Mounted temporarily on a tripod and have it set up using a 12V 2A power supply and it's working fine. This may be a stupid question, but why was this included with the camera? The camera has PoE built into it right? I haven't tried... -

Attempted Auto Theft
Not mine but this was on the local news. This guy breaks out the back window of the truck and tries to steal it in broad daylight. Luckily the owner accidentally left the lights on and the battery was dead. He did get away with her favorite hat though. The quality from the security camera...- Larebear

Sorry to hear that you had a v1 fail also. That's not good news. I hope this isn't a sign that the v1 Huisun's have a very limited lifespan. :( -

Thanks for the link @bob2701. I'll save it in case I ever decide to go with 10. Probably won't happen for a while though since Microsoft will continue to support 7 until January 2020. :-) -
Huisun 10x v1 mini PTZ completely dead
Disassembled and reassembled my dead Huisun several times. Hoping it was just a connection problem with a ribbon cable. Also tried several 12V 2A power adapters and a PoE injector. No sign of life. Still completely dead. -

I don't run BI as a service and can't use hardware acceleration because I'm using Nvidia discrete graphics, so I'm still on BI v4.2.7.1 x64. I'm still hoping that someday Ken will include HA support for Nvidia. Windows 7 has been great for me, so will stick with it. :) -

I don't know about the v2 but I have two Huisun v1 cameras that have been working fine on standard TP-Link PoE switches. A third Huisun died but doubt if it had anything to do with the switch... -

I just ordered one to use with the Imporx that I ordered which should be here next week. Looks like the TPE-115GI has very good ratings. I ordered mine from Newegg with free two day shipping which saved $3 over the Amazon price...
