    is this leecher's hik_repack? Have you re-writen and updated it ? I looked at getting the web interface to do an update but did not seem to be worth the hassle. As it would be very easy to be locked out and then would have to fallback on minisys.

    some dahua 's use that chipset There are loads.. there are a few Chinese unbranded. Fairly common chipset , its fairly old now so its cheap. Messing around with the u-boot on hiks is not easy (there is protection). Console/Shell access is fairly easy.

    2CD-2145FWD-I is a G1 think it runs on ambarella S3L (think there is also an R? series that also uses that chipset/s2l) most G0's are hi3516a /d (there is a thread for easy shell access) There are a few cams that use hi3516a and the full sdk is floating around the net.

    You could try to get root/shell and see what its doing? Or try reflashing with 5.5.9. (I am taking a stab at a corrupt partition). Then upgrade. It may also upgrade via tfftp or batch upgrade tool.

    davinci_bak used to to be left decrypted in "home/process" in firmware's 5.5 and earlier. newer versions now delete it. Also if you look at minisys . there is an update app for installing unsigned digicap.dav in minisys.

    Some of the newer 5.6 firmwares now delete the decrypted davinci_bak from the cam.(unsure what deletes it) All you need to do is copy a new davinci_bak to home/process then run daemon_fsp this will leave a decrypted davinci on the cam. Tested on 5.6.3

    NVR says cam 2\3 are working ok.? 1 and 4 either password is wrong or i.p. is wrong .you can check IP address by logging directly into cam from IE. Also upgrade to latest firmware on the cams if you can.
