LaView NVR owners, are you receiving notifications on iOS?
I know this is an old post, but can anyone say what they did to get this working. Funny thing is I have 4 cameras on my NVR, no alerts. No motion, no line crossing alerts. I have th LaView branded doorbell and a LaView NVR. I am running the latest Hikvision firmware on the doorbell and am able to select the LaView protocol for the doorbell. -

I had just kept the camera as OVNIF, which definitely limited the NVR capabilities, but at least I still had 24x7 recording. It can definitely be set up as a LaView camera though, but will require a little bit of manual config, which is very easy System --> Camera Management Select an... -

Haha. The short answer is no it does not record full time to SD. At least not for me. It is “recording” full time. So when a motion alert goes off it starts the recording about 5 seconds before the event. I have an NVR that is also recording. So if I need full record I’ll check that. -

Have there been any firmware updates lately. I'm still having the issue with the doorbell losing it's motion zones every few days. Easy enough to set back up, but don't really want to have to do that. It seems like this would be something easily fixed in firmware. -

I had a Skybell HD, they go on sale a couple times a year for $129. You get 7 days of cloud storage for free, it does motion and door bell press alerts. My issue with it was the motion detection was not the best, so once it went off the video would start recording, and I'd see people walking... -

I have both apps installed, and they both work. I actually find that I like the Connect app a bit better. My door bell is recording 24x7 to the NVR. I don't think I would get one if I already had a camera mounted above the door though. It might be a bit overkill and there are better intercom... -

I have a LaView model and also a LaView NVR. So I use LaView Connect. When the button is pressed, you get an alert on the phone saying something like "Someone is calling from Front Door", Front door is what I named the doorbell. If you don't answer there will be a short clip of the button... -

I have a couple lights, just older CFL bulbs, and when they were on, the IR never came on, video was in color. But when I turned them off, the IR kicked in, and stayed on. So as long as the porch lights are on and reasonable power, you "Should" be good. -
