Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

The two different IR settings are dependant on your max usage range. I personally would keep it turned down but you'll need to balance it to give AF and AutoTracking the best chance. Re max focal limit, you can leave that unlimited unless your max target range is less then 200m, in which case...

Haha thats my baby test one, the login is limited but lets you play with the PTZ settings etc. She is there until I bring my SD59 back from work. :) Camera is free to fiddle with right now, seems like you logged in at the same time as someone in Cali.

Change the arrow to up/down. (Start drawing from the other direction to change the movement direction.) Make it a bit more square sized. Set to appears or crosses. Set the min size to a bit bigger then the bricks. Max, a bit bigger then a car up close. Go for a walk/quick drive and test or...

Follow the guide on installing the SD card, it shows you how to remove the camera module from the PTZ to install the SD card. Use that guide to safely and carefully pull it out and place it back in, make sure it aligns/clicks in correctly. Use the gloves provided to avoid getting oil on the...

I played with your camera, only fair you get to play with one of mine. Fair is fair. It's on it's own VLAN, just created it just for you, go nuts with it, its on a 100/40mbps connection. Will leave it up for 24 hours. Have fun http://203.185.204.15:9000/ Username: user Password: ipcamtalk2

So that rules out location. All that's left is firmware and hidden config. (Which Dahua's do have) There is a way to fully nuke and reload the camera via tftp, look up the Dahua recovery thread for the steps but I'd load the 2016 firmware/factory reset via the webgui first before trying the...

Do remember he cannot easily remote in due to the "great firewall of China" though he wouldn't give those details out unless he really trusted the engineer for assistance. But I do see where you are coming. Mmm looks like they do have different firmwares loaded which may cause different...

I wouldn't be angry at him, he was trying to get second opinion from a trusted person. The issue explained as the issue auto focusing, which the camera was having at zoomed distances, that was corrected settings wise. Re the focus there, that sign was problematic with the IR so wasn't able to...

Reset button of PTZ (SD52C225U-HNI) Need HELP!!!!!

Is it getting an IP? If so, you should be able to force the firmware back down it's throat via SmartPSS or the update/config tool. Worst comes to worse, tftp recovery time. Ref here: Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

    Iframe interval on Dahua cameras

iFrame rate vs interval. 1 iFrame every 50-100 frames vs every 25 etc. One iFrame every 25 frames will take more bandwidth then one every 100 frames.

    Iframe interval on Dahua cameras

What I've observed with my cameras. I get more motion blur with higher iframe intervals at night, while lower numbers strobe grass in the day. Also noted the image was ever slightly darker with lower iframes intervals. This is based of direct observation with 5 different Dahua models. :)

    Iframe interval on Dahua cameras

Higher the iframe the less bandwidth used/brighter image BUT you will get motion blur. Lower the iframe, more bandwidth is used but motion won't blur. Lower iframes can cause refresh stutter/strobing of grassy areas etc. Depends on your visual requirements really. :)

    Driveway cam.

I have a few of the IPC-HDW4431EM-AS and it's certainly a decent camera. Much better then the Chinese only turrets/domes. Certainly spreads IR in a more uniform fashion which is an advantage for up close targets compared to the HFW4431R-Z which tends to white out peoples faces at close range...

Dahua know to save video directly to nas without SD or nvr?

I do with some of my sites that don't require an NVR/crappy locations where one won't fit in. The NAS will require NFS to support the cameras otherwise FTP from the camera to the NAS. Keep a close eye on how many cameras you have setup if you use FTP, otherwise it may crash out with too many...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Re Auto Focus issues, as I said before, set up for high contrast. Forced Colour Mode test: vs IR Mode: As you can see, the contrast defines solid lines which assists the camera and AF in focusing. I actually turned down the IR after filming that video which has made it even quicker.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

If that was my setup, I'd setup one starlight looking down that road to capture plates/people, while another looked down the other direction to do the same, finally one cheap starlight VF to capture plates at night. Then I'd set the PTZ auto tracking zone even closer, eg where that drain cover...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Don't configure your Autotracking zone extremely far from the camera if the targets are going to moving towards or away from the camera. Eg, avoid configuring it 200m away, set it to trigger closer at 30-50m. You don't need it chasing things that far away. :)

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

That would be one of my videos. I sorta have been AWOL with work but noticed a lot of people are having issues with focus etc. Speaking from personal experience, don't over do it with the IR, but also don't under do it, find a balance, this will assist in auto-tracking. Also make sure you have...

Dahua Firmware Mod Kit + Modded Dahua Firmware

Looks like most of the issues people are having is when they use the config tool to upload the firmware. Was going to suggest trying it from the Camera web gui rather then via the config tool next time. :)

This was it auto tracking at night in forced colour mode: Day time: I assume this was the video you refered to? Or this one? I prefer night time in IR mode, auto tracking works a lot better and you can clearly ID people: Said before to a few people, you really need to get the contrast...
