    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

After upgrading to windows pro, and debloating and reinstalling BI, the fist thing I noticed was on the camera configuration page the ONVIF source says "videosource_1". Hopefully that change makes a difference...

Finally in track. Maybe I'll have something working tomorrow lol

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I'm assuming I'd have to install pro from a flash drive or something? Everything I read says that windows will upgrade automatically when you enter the code. This is not the case with either key I have.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I'm going to look for a cheap windows 10 pro key and start over.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

On the camera I highlighted "IVS" under smart plan. "Get onvif trigger events" is checked. On the trigger tab under sources "camera's digital input or motion alarm" is checked. Above the digital input option is a motion sensor with a configure button. That is the BI motion sensor, correct?

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I got some trip wires setup, and they work on the cams browser, but I just can't get BI to do anything with it. I should have more cams next week that I can setup to make testing much easier.

That could be the issue because I changed the login once. I just reset the camera and I'll try again.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

It is a 5442T-ZE with current update. I do not have an SD card installed. I have not tried setting up anything beyond people and vehicle motion detection. I did not setup a smart plan. I was just trying to get BI to recognize any trigger from the camera.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I got a camera hooked up last night, and it is pretty impressive. I do think that trying to figure out all the setup of this system is going to take a few years off my life. Oh how nice it would be to be an IT genius. I guess I'm going to try deepstack, because I just can't get the camera AI...

How in the world would you turn the corner? Is this conduit flexible like rubber, or more rigid like pex?

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

If I had to do it again, I would probably pull the carpet back 6' in the upstairs bedroom and cut an 8" hole in the floor. A straight wall drop and 6' fish would have been so much easier.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I did a straight wall drop from a different attic similar to what you describe, and that is easy. Are you saying you would run "noodle tube" inside the wall? That sounds like a nightmare.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

Too late now lol. I was trying to drill inside the wall from below. I knew where the studs were upstairs. I measured from to toilet water line to the closet wall, then from the other side of the wall to my location upstairs. I then measured from the water line, and cheated away from the...

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I haven't either, I was just a precaution for me. It really is nothing like a broadcast station. There can be common mode current on the shield of the coax that can, and will radiate. Being in an HOA community, I need to hide my coax and antennas.. For the amount of money I'm going to have...

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

My house is limited on cable routing and I do some ham radio stuff. I just figured for the price I'd rather just run the best I can and hope to not have problems.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I didn't think a stud finder would work through the floor sheathing and the 2x6 bottom plate. Definitely not enough room to swing a hammer even if I could see the nail. There was no easy point of reference, and it took a while to get all of my measurements lined up for all 3 levels. I pulled...

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I just hacked up 750' of cable, so I guess in not using any patch panels. I did have a perfect miss when I was drilling up from the basement. This was supposed to be the easy hole, but at least I know where the stud is now.

    Patch panel vs continuous runs?

I have a pull from the basement up an insulated wall, then 6' horizontal between insulated floor joists. I have plans for 6 runs, and I'm planning to run 4 futures. It is all shielded cat6. Is there any downside to using a shielded patch panel in the basement and attic so I don't have to...

Need some help from the seasoned vets, I can't look at any more data sheets.

What is the advantage of a 2mp 1/2.8 vs a 4mp 1/1.8 indoors? Is it just price and/or size, or is there some aspect of indoor performance that the 2mp matches or bests the 4mp?

There is one of looneys videos on the linked page that has sound. If it doesn't have a mic, the page really needs to clarify that.

    Camera placement?

I'm starting to consider camera placement and thought I might ask for ideas. The lot is 100'x100' and the red line indicates the rear property line and also a 4' chain link fence. It is less than 30' from the garage to the sidewalk. I am planning on using mostly 5442's unless there is a...

We Created the First Ever - Call Center : Scammer Payback + Nomorobo

I had a printer that I spent hours trying to get working. I finally called for help and it was really hard to let someone on my computer. The guy was getting annoyed because I kept telling him to slow down. I felt so violated that I'd probably throw the printer away if it happened again. I'm...

    You probably saw me coming?

I guess the "5442" is just a series number or something. I definitely didn't expect completely different cameras with the same base model number. Lots to decipher in this industry

    You probably saw me coming?

I honestly have nothing to compare to except a few digital night vision scopes. Is visible light just preferred due to color for the 5442? Maybe I am wrongly assuming that 850nm is usable for these cameras?
  29. R

    You probably saw me coming?

Are these legitimate numbers, or marketing numbers? That is literally equal to 4 or 5 pair of HID automotive headlights, or 15 150w halogen bulbs. That is an insane amount of light.

    You probably saw me coming?

I didn't realize my cell phone camera quality would be compared to a security camera. The pics were intended only to convey location, distance and give an idea of lighting conditions. It was not intended to be a representation of the image quality of my phone or any other camera.
