[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

GPU(Windows Beta)+CPU(Docker) 11m53s So first observation is GPU only queues more images than both, but not that many more, 1076 max queue size for GPU vs 1006 for both GPU and CPU. Time wise 17:16:54 - 17:30:31 13m37s I thought I would run CPU only again just to make sure CPU only queued...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I just had that error. I thought the beta of deepstack GPU that I'm running crashed.

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Have you tested if that actually improves processing times? I ran a 2700 images stress test with BI running on both CPU in Docker and the Windows GPU version, and it didn't process them any faster. About 12 minutes (16:13:43 - 16:25:36) to do all 2700 images, about the same result I got from...

    LPR Setup SUCCESS with HFW5241E-Z12E

Those are some great captures, but I shudder when I see exposed cables that any vandal could cut with a pair of scissors. Like @samplenhold said, get the junction box, and can I suggest putting some conduit in to protect the cable as it runs up the tree. If you don't like the look of conduit...

Really newbie here, need help on mounting method on a California ranch house

Like you said I'd drill more than one and have a short vertical run down to each camera. Like I said attach a round junction box to the timber, and then drill a hole through the junction box into the attic to pass the cable through. Get yourself some flexible fibreglass fishing rods to...

Successful rocket test doesn't mean you get your rocket back in one piece

Love the banner title at the end, "Awsome Test. Congrats Starship Team!", as the rocket lays in hundreds of pieces.

Yet Another Free Extension for Blue Iris Adding AI Object Dectection/Reduction in False Alarms/Enhanced Notification of Activity/On Guard

Did it work? You need to activate deepstack. Go to 127.0.0.1:8090 https://www.deepstack.cc/install/windows

Really newbie here, need help on mounting method on a California ranch house

I'd be investing in some junction boxes and the 5442 turrets for that build instead of going with bullets. Even when mounted on a vertical wall the turrets will turn to look along the wall. Even if you went with bullets I would still use junction boxes. It is one of the regrets I have from my...

That's not a docker variant, however I've found this https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda/wsl/download Which may let me run the docker variant.

Yet Another Free Extension for Blue Iris Adding AI Object Dectection/Reduction in False Alarms/Enhanced Notification of Activity/On Guard

This is from last night, times are in UTC so add 11 hours for east coast of Australia, on the latest docker cpu version on an I7-8700. They are less than half what I was getting on the old windows version of deepstack. It's being fed 1920x1080 images. I've got a machine with a GTX1650Ti in it...

Making a reflective focus target for LPR setup

It would, but unfortunately you can't keep number plates where I live because you never actually own them. They all belong to our equivalent of your DMV, and unless they are on a car, you have to give them back. If your registration expires you also have to give them back. If you don't the...

Yet Another Free Extension for Blue Iris Adding AI Object Dectection/Reduction in False Alarms/Enhanced Notification of Activity/On Guard

What's the version number? I'll run a pull and take a look. I don't run a video card in my BI box at the moment, its headless so why bother, but I'll try it out and if I like I'll invest. What sort of processing times are you getting?

Yet Another Free Extension for Blue Iris Adding AI Object Dectection/Reduction in False Alarms/Enhanced Notification of Activity/On Guard

Deepstack GPU does not run on windows boxes at the moment. It may sometime in the new year but for now you would need to run a linux box to get gpu support.

Making a reflective focus target for LPR setup

Thought I would share how I made a reflective CCTV focus target to help me set up the focus on my LPR cameras. You will need the following items A printer. I used a laser but an inkjet will probably work too. Some paper, either A4 or US Letter Some reflective tape...
