How to kick a connected blue iris user?

Are you asking about dropping a "User" or dropping a "Connected session"? If its a "Connected session" I would like to know this too. The only way I know is to stop and restart the Blue Iris service.

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Well that was easy... should have thought of that before bothering you. Thanks very much for the assistance.

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I'm having an issue with the latest update to UI2. I can log onto my Blue Iris server remotely but attempting to logon within my LAN causes errors. I am using the latest version of Chrome browser. Before the logon page is displayed the error in the Capture.jpg file attached occurs. After...

    A couple of quick questions...

I do something like that using Bvckup2 . You can check it out at www.bvckup2.com . I'm storing my New folder clip files every hour but it can be set to any time interval or for real time copy. Lots of other features too.

Allocating Free Space on a new drive

I recently added a 4TB drive also. I left the Blue Iris database and the New folder on the C drive as is recommended by Blue Iris. I allocated 100GB for the new folder. I have no Days Limit on the New folder. Files move to the Stored folder on the new drive as space is needed in the New folder...

    Licensing

You are correct, there is a charge for the Blue Iris Android app too -- $10.28 Cdn for me. I must have paid years ago and had forgotten. I have it installed on four Android devices so pretty inexpensive in the whole scheme of things. Sorry if I misled.

    Licensing

If you are asking if you need a license for the Blue Iris Android app, no you don't. It is free on Google Play but you do need to have a licensed version of the Blue Iris Windows software running to be able to use the Android app. You need a license for each Windows PC running the Blue Iris...

Have you tried rebuilding the database? That's what I would try first.

(SMS) Text Message Alarm for Android phone??

Another app that may be able to do what you want is Macrodroid, available from Google Play. I use one of Macrodroid's built in macros to locate a lost or misplaced phone. How it works is send a text message containing a particular word or phrase (WHEREAREYOU in this case) to a phone with...

BI Android App 2.0.43 and .42

I am having a connection issue with version 2.0.42 too but version 2.0.43 is not available to me (or to my device). The app makes a connection to my Blue Iris server but the app then immediately displays an error message that it has stopped. It seems that lately as often as not I have an issue...

Trying to keep small camera view below clips list from changing

There is a toggle icon at the top of the clips list that will switch the list of clips/alerts between selected camera and all cameras.

Trying to keep small camera view below clips list from changing

I believe the small single camera view that is below the clips list is only shown when a clip or alert is being played. It shows a live view of whichever camera is selected in the cameras view.

    Status Window Size

When I open the Blue Iris Status window with tabs for Messages, Cameras, Connections and Clip Storage the window is not wide enough to show all the columns on the Cameras tab. The window can be dragged wider to display all the Cameras tab columns but the next time the Status window is opened it...

Remove the red border around recording views?

Sent an email describing this issue to Blue Iris support this evening.

Remove the red border around recording views?

No, I am not having any issues with BI crashing. It is very stable and runs virtually trouble free. I agree that it seems that the database is getting corrupted. I have a theory as to how/when based on this morning's clips although it may only be coincidence. My theory is that when a "combine or...

Remove the red border around recording views?

No, my combine and cut times are fine at 15 minutes. The clip is not still recording when the red border remains hour later and after many more subsequent clips. So, I take it that the "stuck" red border is caused by some kind of a glitch and the only way to remove it is to rebuild the database.

Remove the red border around recording views?

Yes, I know all that but sometimes a clip has a red border hours after the camera was triggered or recording. And the red border does not go away. I have been able to remove the red borders by rebuilding the clip database but I am curious to know if there is a better solution. The original post...

    Motion or Sound

Yes, alerts are shown separately but wasn't the original poster asking about clips, not alerts? And what description would go with a clip that includes both motion and sound alerts? Am I missing something here, maybe.

    Motion or Sound

But if the clip is made up of several alerts, some triggered by motion and some triggered by sound, what would the description be?

    camera and rain!!!

Mounting the camera under an eave and if possible angling it somewhat parallel to the eave so that the maximum possible distance in front of the camera is under the eave is the ideal situation I find. Not only does this keep as much rain off the camera lens as possible but keeping the rain...

    Purchase Full Version

Hmm, that's strange. Blue Iris detects motion on all my Foscams with the IR lights on at night. I even pickup motion in my neighbor's driveway 100 feet or more from the camera at night. I have motion detection sensitivity size and contrast set about 25% of the scale from the left edge.

    Purchase Full Version

My understanding is that Blue Iris uses the whole camera image to detect motion but you can mask off areas to be ignored. This is the opposite of how detection works in some camera interfaces (eg. Foscam) where you set a detection area.

    Archived clips are gone

Okay, first off I didn't read your original question very well. You asked about clips that you right clicked and chose "Archive". I have been talking about the configuration for storage of clips in my responses which it seems is an entirely different issue. Sorry for any confusion this has...

    Archived clips are gone

On that same Options tab for the "New" folder, are the Limit Folder Size and Limit Clip Age items specified appropriately? And, is the Move To Folder item checked and the "Stored" folder specified as the move to location? This controls when and where clips are archived from the "New" folder...

    Archived clips are gone

If you look at Blue Iris Options on the Clips and Archiving Tab in the section titled Folders, the first form field likely displays "New" with a drop down arrow at the right. Click the drop down arrow and select "Stored". Then look at the "Path" line -- it will indicate where the archived clips...

    Foscam FI8906W and BlueIris

This won't solve your problem but ... I have two Foscam FI8906W cameras with same firmware as yours connected wirelessly and use Blue Iris 3.58.00 with no problems. So I guess all that indicates is that the FI8906W cameras should work with Blue Iris. At one time I did have an issue with one of...
