    5.5.8 - June 13, 2022 - Code Project’s SenseAI Version 1 - See V2 here https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/codeproject-ai-version-2-0.68030/

How refreshing to once again find Docker self-updating and running the latest image. DockerDesktop is perfect for apps like this under constant development; Single command to download and deploy Code.Project.AI Server (always self-restarts, if it stops for any reason) Watchtower ensures...

For me Yolo is used by default, no need to copy the custom model. Leave custom models blank and ensure Default Object Detection is set.

Fog/light reflections washing out night image

As others have said, too much IR. Star as low as you can go and wind up, I am currently running 2 of mine on level ~10. I find with overlapping cameras even Smart IR isn't the best as the cameras get confused. This may seem low but these cameras have good sensors, they don't require much...

bidens incredible transition to electric cars

Absolutely correct. My next car likely will still be ICE, but I don't get upset seeing EV drivers on the road. Nothing new though, the hate towards petrol cars was real, with all the same concerns as EVs today. Too costly, nowhere to park, houses and streets are not designed for them and...

NVR Compatible with old Swann NHD-810 1080p IP White Bullet Camera?

No, your cameras are powered by ethernet, hence they would require a POE compatible switch to inject the power. eg: POE switch below; Have included an example below; Amazon.com: TP-Link 9 Port Fast Ethernet 10/100Mbps PoE Switch | 8 PoE+ Ports @65W | Sturdy Metal w/Shielded Ports | Limited...

I've tried all day to not make this post.

No you are exposing your BlueIris server, to access the cameras a malicious party needs to first gain access to your BlueIris server. Please note though, with zerotier/tailscale implementations you now basically have a two-way VPN tunnel into their cloud open for all ports, so your placing a lot...

bidens incredible transition to electric cars

EV lovers should not get upset, that EVs are NOT suitable for everyone. Conversely, people claiming that a proper EV like a Tesla are not good for the environment are either plain stupid or ignorant. Tesla's are the safest cars out there (by a friggin landslide). ** No I don't drive an EV or a...

I've tried all day to not make this post.

Check Blue Iris Web Server is listening on the correct IP, if it's only listening on the IP allocated to the camera subnets then it won't be reachable outside of that subnet. Ensure you have not specified a gateway on the BI server Interface\IP on the camera subnet. On the assumption your...

Useful Hack: Remote Desktop Improvements (444 graphics more for Remote Desktop)

Good warning, can't say that is something I have experienced, all my installs are headless. "Prioritize H.264/AVC 444 graphics mode for Remote Desktop", does not require an NVIDIA GPU. The "hardware encoding options" do require NVIDIA GPU's, but I have always had it fall back to non-GPU...

NVR Compatible with old Swann NHD-810 1080p IP White Bullet Camera?

Checked BlueIris and the current version already has the Swann NHD-810 profile, shown below; rtsp:/admin:<password>@<ipaddress>:554/h264Preview_01_main rtsp:/admin:<password>@<ipaddress>:554/h264Preview_01_sub /h264Preview_01_main /h264Preview_01_sub Update:

NVR Compatible with old Swann NHD-810 1080p IP White Bullet Camera?

You will ready many blogs, saying they won't work, but I have used these in the past with BlueIris. Stil have the cams but don't have the correct URL handy. I recall they were not Onvif compliant, and a heck of a lot of trial and error eventually they did work. These cameras were actually...

That's why 1 case doesn't fit all. I run a i7-10700 and average about 12 hits per minute across 10 cameras. (obviously peaks are much higher). I constantly record, and task BI Object detection with avoiding a lot of false triggers. I also don't have my overview cams running through AI, never...

Useful Hack: Remote Desktop Improvements (444 graphics more for Remote Desktop)

Handy Hack to improve the performance of Remote Desktop with Blue Iris (also great for gaming as you can get tp to 60fps)., The key setting to enable is called "Prioritize H.264/AVC 444 graphics mode for Remote Desktop". Note: Requires the Windows 10 RDP Client or a 3rd Party client that...

Sorry about that...:) Yes definitely PERFORMANCE improvements, but not efficiency. My GPU instance is docker desktop on Windows, so a single command to "deploy" once, and self-updates so always have the latest. No file editing, no need to customise, just works.

Each to their own, but when I run benchmarks the performance gains with custom models, in my eyes are not worth it. I just run it out of the box, with zero custom config, no reghack and it just works. Currently using GPU on 1 rig and CPU on another, given the CPU version is so efficient think I...

3 - 4 minutes of video missing in the middle of a saved clip

If you saw the clip, perhaps you accidently deleted it. I’ve accidentally done that in the iOS app. In BlueIris try changing the view to clips not triggers and flags then look.

    Automatically Open and Close VPN

Yep found two solutions, First requires a Mac "Apple Configurator" you can create a VOD (VPN on-demand profile), if you have a windows PC you can try and find a copy of the older iPCU (iPhone Configuration utility for windows) Second use a VPN server that supports Cisco VPN clients for iOS. Both...

IPC-T5442T-ZE substream not working blue iris

Can you paste the settings you are using in BI? Perhaps you have BI to use sub-stream 2 but have not enabled it on the camera.

IPC-T5442T-ZE substream not working blue iris

Hi make sure the codec and frame rate are the same as the main stream. I personally use the second sub-stream at 720p

Did this prowler see my camera?

I have two of these and the IR range is to short to work properly with zoom at night. If you require MAX zoom get external ir at an angle. BTW, lower the frame rate = more detail. From a bit rate perspective these go as high as 20480 and sometimes they need it to avoid blur on high action...

Improving 5442T-ZE Images, primarily at night

Although mine stay in colour, I use the profile schedule to force IR mode at night. These have terrible IR range though, but bloody excellent picture if the object is within range of the IR (~4 meters)

Well done. Which custom model are you using? Previously , I tried the IPCAM-Combined and IPCAM-General models, and my person detection rate was down, so I went back to standard models. I also found only a modest performance improvement in detection times.

Is Intel QuickSync feature important only if one is encoding?

Modern Intel CPU's with dedicated graphics, include a core that is dedicated to H\W coding and decoding. From 9th Gen onwards these cores really pack some punch. Is QuickSync required : No, infact CPU decoding is slightly more accurate and more compatible. Will QuickSync Help ...

Scheduling Push notifications w/out disrupting recording triggers

Sounds like you need to go into each camera, select record tab then change the profile within the "record tab" to Profile #7 and then complete as required. Or if you want the same settings as profile #1 tick the "sync with profile 1" check box. Remember each tab, alerts ect.. needs to be...

Huge increase in network traffic after FW update (Dahua IPC-HFW1320S)

Firstly, 60 MB\hour (Megabytes per Hour) = a paltry 133kbps, but yes over a mobile adds up. Suggest going into the cameras settings and disable all and every service, network protocol and feature you are not using. If you use an NVR then you don't need to specify real DNS servers or gateways on...

Any ideas what causes this sort of ghosting/pixelisation?

I believe the Synology NAS is receiving both the main and sub-stream at all times, it just not doing anything with it until it detects motion. This is to avoid connection delays, which would otherwise result in missing said event. When a device connects at say 40Mbits/s substantially less will...

17watts isn't much in the scheme of things, my 3060ti seems to draw around the same ~19w (I think each of my CCTV cams consume 12-14watts each). My GPU is about 200watts when mining eth. Yeah for about a year I was doing both and deepstack, both happily co-existed.

Blue Iris in a VM? Yup no problem!

GPU acceleration is a WASTE it's NOT efficient at all. CPU hardware acceleration (ie: Quicksync) is more efficient, but it has limitations (particularly the # of threads\queues). If you run a large number of cameras, or 720p or less resolution sub-streams with direct to disk recording and direct...
