    I have been using a Ryzen 7 1700, not-overclocked, recording full time on 10 cameras in the last 6 months. The average CPU is ~20-30%. I would assume that the second gen Ryzen will do better than mine.

    You may not pass a cable tester if the wiring is not correct. It checks both wiring standard and continuity.

    I also see that some Date&Time settings, including "Date Format", "Time Format", and NTP do not hold after the camera is rebooted. That seems to be persistent in the last 2 firmware versions 2017-11-10 and 2018-03-30.

    It may work OK if mounted under some top cover, such as in a porch or under the soffit which prevent water to hit directly on the base of the cam. Otherwise, use proper mount equipment as listed in the camera datasheet. PFA107 will prevent water from entering the base of the cam.
