Buying a camera
It says English firmware but is it a chinese camera (with a chinese serial number)? If it is, you may have problems the next time you upgrade the FW, and may need to perform the MTD hack to ensure the camera is recognized by the NVR after the upgrade. Or it may have a Western Region serial... -

CCCH is a chinese FW camera. If I'm not mistaken, CCRR is non-chinese but very old FW that, when you upgrade, will change to CCWR -S -

There are several ways to tell: 1. From the NVR, Menu, Camera management. Look at the camera serial number. If you see the letters CCCH, it is chinese. If you see the letters CCWR it is "World Region" (US). Not sure if you can see the S/N with a switch though. 2. Via a web browser, connect to... -

Both shutter speeds are 1/50s but my resolution issue is whith static objects, so should not be a factor. I am at a loss to understand why the 2342 (under)performs so differently... -

Just as a test, I would click the DHCP box (this would let the system assign a valid IP address.) Currently, the 192.168.1.145 address is fixed, stored inside the camera. Click refresh, and see if the IP address changes from 192.168.1.145. If it does, unclick the DHCP box and enter the new IP... -

Hi Munzz, I've had similar issues with 2332 cameras that show up on SADP but nothing happened when I double clicked on the IPv4 address (BTW, only the IPv4 address is ckickable). I found that changing the IPv4 subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 in SADP (from 255.255.255.0) did the trick. Changing this... -
