Well, I unplugged the power from the PTZ for a short time. I plugged it back in, and it now works again. Crazy.
Well, it works. Now I need to start another post for a different PTZ I just got.
Thanks for your help.
I flashed firmware recently, but it was firmware directly from Andy for the PTZ version I gave him. I did 2 of them. One works, the other doesn't. Although, I flashed it a week ago, and it only quit working yesterday.
The camera is 690 day(s) 7 hour(s) 30 minute(s) . It was not on a tour cycle. It should last longer than that I would hope. Maybe it is user error and I did something to a setting that I am not aware of. I can't find anything though.
My SD5A425XA-HNR ptz controls just stopped working. I can't them to respond at all. No, zoom or pan or anything. What could have happened? Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks.
Our setup has to be PoE. The run of cable is going to be around 125' or so. There are not a lot of options for more electricity and such, and it is already wired for PoE. I talked to Andy about that camera, and he says it is not PoE. I don't think there are any other options of a camera like...
That is exactly the camera that would work for another project that he wants. He has a leg on a bin that is 100' in the air. He wants to have a PTZ up on top that can scan 360 deg. I couldn't think of anything that would do what he wanted that would not have part of the view blocked, but if it...
I'll check with him and see which one he wants. He may want some of the larger ones at his bin sites so he can see better at night and be able to zoom in better. He had some anhydrous stolen out of his tank out at his site. It won't stop people from doing it, but it may help in seeing who is out...
Cost is not really going to be important. He can afford them, I just want to get the best bang for the buck for him as well. We need it to be a good heavy duty ptz, and be able to take a lot of wind etc. It will be up about 15' so I'm thinking more in the line of ones listed above, but I'll keep...
I understand the size difference. I have a PTZ and have installed several others for other people. I have a friend that I put some cameras up for that is a quadriplegic. I installed cameras for him and several were PTZ. He likes to check on things, and found he really likes the PTZ cameras...
Is the 2nd one you listed better, or just the same as the first ptz you listed? Quite a difference in price for sure.
I guess when I mean better, I mean is it $1500 better in your opinion? I'll do some looking, but I don't know I could justify that price unless there was something special it...
Well, we'll soon find out. I have some new Cat6 outdoor cable coming, plus a new PoE switch to power it all. I have used switches on all the other Ubiquiti NanoStations, and the switches work great, so I'll try this to see.
The connection below is in a watertight sealed box. No water can get in, or even dust doesn't get in. The one on top is in the compartment of the nanostation. The connection going into the camera is perfectly sealed also. I used the watertight connectors that came with the camera. I don't know...
