    Feds cut interest rate again

My reason for paying it off early is three fold, 1, its guaranteed money in the bank. It doesn't matter if the market tanks etc, I save that amount of interest no matter what 2, the stress reduction and great feeling of having a paid off house 3, probably the biggest, being able to drop the...

    Natural Gas Generators

I think this is the issue with Kohlers, for every Kohler here in Houston there is 100 Generac's Much easier to diagnose a common issue on an F150 than a Ferrari If I could go back and get the Cummins RS25 I would, nice Genset, but the installers around here all sucked so it was never in the cards

    Review-SD4A425DB-HNY 1/2.8" CMOS 4MP 25x Starlight Auto-tracking MiniPTZ

If you get your generator, just have the generator auto-start before you move the camera, and then shut it off again when you're done

    Natural Gas Generators

Oh boy, not this again. An air cooled airplane engine is very, very different to an air cooled 3600rpm budget genset.

    Natural Gas Generators

Sorry, I missed this! Thats a good question. I would never go Generac air cooled, only liquid cooled. And right now the model I have is in limbo because of engine supply, apparently its making a comeback. I really do think Kohler and Cummins make a better unit in total, the problem is...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Those of us in Texas probably read the following article https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/weather/article/texas-winter-snow-storm-blackouts-19959189.php It seems like it could be a big hype, but hype or not, I'll prepare for it My biggest risk in the cold is my Citrus Trees, which I do not...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Another small cheap project. I have multiple generators, and one of them is a WEN GN400iM that I got for $259 or $299 (I forget). Its a pull start unit. Since I live in Houston and these splash lube engines need good oil that won't shear too much, I keep 15W-40 in it. The problem is that during...

Upgraded my AC Slab - Foam to Concrete

Really off topic, but I took progress pics with camera so why not! As always with owning a home, always something to improve. I got some new siding installed, and there was a casualty... Nail right in the center of the AC lineset I took this opportunity to pour a concrete slab for it...
