I am guessing when you tested the Zigbee sensor you saw the plunger hit the strike to chime the doorbell. These are very sensitive to any magnet. If you have a small compass hold it near the central section moving it up and down...should sense the magnetism.

    Win10 Firewall and pfSense?

I guess I still wonder if there is perhaps a pfSense firewall ruleset that would allow only Microsoft Win10 updates? In the early days of Windows 10 tried to mod the build running a script to remove Microsoft update servers. There were all over the place. Next Windows 10 update would remove...

    Win10 Firewall and pfSense?

Here have BI running on a Windows 2016 server. Just installed NetTime on the W2016 server. BTW here used to use Tardis in the 1990's. I used it to connect to a old Trimble (surplus from a tank) and made a Windows NTP server way back in the 90's I am in to time. Just a hobby though.

    Win10 Firewall and pfSense?

All you need to do for NTP time is configure the PFSense NTP server and point your client(s) to the PFSense gateway IP for NTP. Personally here have the PFSense firewall connected to a GPS with PPS (serial port) for more accurate time such that the PFSense NTP server primarily uses the GPS for...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Then add the DB1C's power kit across the (T) & (1) terminals of the chime. Good news. That way you can continue to utilize your HC450 and your new DB1C video doorbell.

It'll be safe. Only issue I had was the sound of the chime went to a gong instead of a chime here. Make sure you wire the new power supply as depicted in the manual as posted above. The new transformer is the "bell" transformer.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I'll look into the ezviz studio. Does it have the chime setting? I did not see the chime setting in EZViz Studio for my Nelly DB with Hikvision firmware. A few months back lost my mechanical chime setting and I saw in it the EZViz or Nelly Android app at the time.

Your Nutone looks identical to my old Nutone 8VAC replacement from Amazon. Newhouse Hardware CHM1 Door Bell Chime, White When you reset the app you should be able to pick mechanical chime. I have read a review on the EZViz site relating to the DB1C that states there is no mechanical...

Here is a picture of what it probably looks like underneath. Putting the side up or below it should work fine.

Yes my contact switch was 100% reliable. You can test it by ringing the doorbell and activating the magnet and just hold it in your hand moving it around the chime. Current using the Ring alarm system in house #2 and the wireless small contact switches and they work 100% of the time with the...

That is interesting that the Sage switch would trigger with no voltage on it. Looking for the manual for it and see this right here on the forum: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/cheap-z-wave-zigbee-doorbell-sensor.45513/...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

How do you know the new 24VAC transformer is dead? Did you power it up and test the low voltage leads with a voltmeter without a load on it. You could have been shorting it out earlier. The Sage sensor was triggered cuz it uses voltage to trigger. The voltage was always on with the power...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

The Ring doesn't use any transformer to power it up. The Hikvision needs a transformer to power it up. The DB1C has a battery in it that is charged and only used to retain the memory of the DB1C. If you unplug the DB1C from the power supply you will not get any video. The Ring has a...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Note that the standard installation of the HC450 uses its own transformer which in your case is the 12VAC transformer. The Chime you have is separately powered by an 8VAC transformer. According to the HC450 manual this is isolated power and meant to be that way. My chime and transformer were...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

So then the HC450 control unit is using the 12VAC transformer and the Friedland chime is using the 8VAC transformer. I do not think that the 8VAC transformer would work for the DB1C and I do not think that the 12VAC transformer could power up the HC450 and the DB1C. You could up the Friedland...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Well now take a Voltmeter to check to make sure that it is 8VAC on the OF terminal. Disconnect the 12VAC transformer from the Control unit and see the HC450 works the chime and control unit with the 8VAC only transformer. Yes with any doorbell / chime one of the two wires will always be...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Looks like in this drawing that the Siemens HC 450 uses the 8v transformer to power the unit and the 12V transformer to power the chime. Here are drawings from the installation manual. Guessing the "actuator" is what closes the circuit to ring the chime. The bell transformer is the 12vac one...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

When the doorbell button gets pushed you will see voltage. Voltage will be seen if you use the T3 port and the other wire of the transformer or OF on your chime. Test it connected as in your drawing above with the power kit in place but not the Sage kit.

It would be T3 and #2 and / or T3 and #1 to test for voltage. Apologies. Drawing looks good except that you want to remove the Sage sensor. See then if the Video DB works without the Sage sensor. Then try to see if it works with the Sage sensor in place.
