    Very high CPU usage

Yes, each cam is recording D2D. OS and BI are installed on an SSD. I only altered FPS through BI, not in each cam's webpage. All 8 cameras are Hikvision, 3 domes, 5 bullets. I will log into the cameras and adjust fps as needed. However, as Fenderman recommended, there's no need to clone the...

    Very high CPU usage

I have 12 1080p cameras. 8 are recording 24x7 and have motion detection. To accomplish this I cloned the 8 cameras so that 8 record constantly, and the other 8 do motion detection. The remaining 4 are not recording and do not have motion detection. They're PTZ and just used for getting a better...

Seems to work fine with Firefox for me now. Chrome says the plugin is not supported.

Nevermind, it started working on its own. No idea why, I didn't change anything.

    Mini PTZ 10x Setup

I just got my 10x PTZ today. It showed up in SADP and I changed the IP and gateway to match my local network settings. I am able to login to the cam using the IP I assigned to it and admin/admin credentials. However, the picture does not show up (solid black). I am using Firefox, as I've never...

Reminders when traffic signal set to red after specified time?

Great idea, thanks for the tip fenderman.

    Huisun 10x latest recommendation

I had not heard this. Any idea why that is? They do have IR LEDs, don't they? I have the same trouble with Hikvision cams and spiders. I even bought a feather duster with a telescoping pole (up to 22' reach) to deal with it so I don't have to get up on a ladder every time.

Reminders when traffic signal set to red after specified time?

Often when I'm doing yard work, I'll set the traffic signal to red to avoid motion detection spam. But then I'll forget to set it back to green when I'm done. Is there a way to have Blue Iris send a reminder email or text that the traffic signal is still red after a certain amount of time?

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Awesome, thanks again! I've changed the default homepage to ui2.htm for all users.

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Ahh yes, I did. I forgot about, sorry. I wanted to make ui2 the default page when I log in, so I copied ui2.htm and renamed it jpegpull.htm.

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I appreciate you going to the trouble to fix this issue which likely only affects me. Looks like you need to rename the object in jpegpull.htm on line 47. It's still referencing CustomEvent instead of UI2_CustomEvent. I can change it manually in my file, but future updates will break it for me...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Thanks, but I don't think it's the cache. I should have mentioned I see the same thing on 4 different computers. I just cleared cache today, but still see the error. Out of curiosity I disabled all Chrome extensions and found that the error went away. So one by one I started re-enabling...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

The last few weeks I see this error every time I load the jpegpull.htm: When I click ok, it pops up again immediately, but Chrome lets me check a box to prevent more error alerts. Page seems to work fine after that, but it's frustrating to have to clear two errors every time I load the page.

Web server issues after power failure

Actually it turns out it was only slow while I was at home on my Wifi and accessing the internet URL for my system. Now that I'm at work, the connection is fine. Not sure why it's so slow at home. I still see the error in the server setup wizard, though, which did not happen before the power outage.

Web server issues after power failure

Yesterday I lost power for about 4 hours. When it came back on, I found that my Blue Iris machine was not able to use its normal IP address because something else on the network took that address. So I set it to use a new static IP locally. I went through the web server setup wizard in BI again...

Taking a screenshot every day at same time

Yes, the filenames do have the camera name in them. Also, they no longer take photos during the same minute. I've emailed BI Support on this.

Taking a screenshot every day at same time

No, I don't think it's that. I've altered the schedule today as a test. The one that works is still set for 1:00pm, but I set the others to take photos incrementally, each 1 minute apart. It still only saved from one camera. - - - Updated - - - I've already set them to do it 1 minute apart...

Taking a screenshot every day at same time

Yes, I think that's the only way you can do it, unless I'm misunderstanding. Here's how I did it: Select camera Click camera properties Click Schedule tab Click "Event Schedule..." button Select Enable checkbox Click Add Specify time and select Snapshot function Hit Ok on all dialog windows...

Taking a screenshot every day at same time

Update: No dice. Snapshots are only saved from a single camera. At the scheduled times, the app switches to the correct camera as if it was taking a snapshot, but nothing is saved. I don't see any errors in the logs. Curious why only one camera will take snapshots despite all of them having it...

Taking a screenshot every day at same time

I'm having some issues with the schedule. I didn't check the saved images for several days. Today I went looking for them. I found some in the JPEG folder, but only from one camera. They are indeed being taken at the specified time (1:00pm). But I'm curious why only this camera is doing it. I...

    PC in attic concerns

I forgot to answer this in my previous comment. I've spent around $200 on the storage in the PC. It's got 2 WD Purple drives, a 1TB and a 4TB. It boots from an SSD, but that only runs Windows and Blue Iris and doesn't store any recordings.

I don't have any closets with a power outlet. Maybe you're saying to install an outlet in a closet first.

    PC in attic concerns

I have not monitored the summer time temps in the attic. It's usually quite dry in summer here, and when it's wet it's a lot cooler. There's no mold growing in the attic, so I think the humidity is pretty low. The basement is finished and there's not really any where to hide a PC there.

    PC in attic concerns

I've just moved my Blue Iris PC into the attic. Are there any concerns other than heat in summer, or roof leaks that I should be aware of? I'm in Seattle, so it doesn't normally get too hot in summer, and the PC has excellent cooling. It's in a Coolermaster HAF 912 case, has a beefy Noctua CPU...

Taking a screenshot every day at same time

I'm curious if it's possible in Blue Iris to have each camera take a photo at a specified time each day. I'm interested in creating timelapses from images captured in this manner. I haven't seen anything in the software that allows this. I did find a way to make cameras take a photo every...

Can't play clips from web server

This turned out to be the problem. Earlier I installed the codecs on my laptop (client) and that didn't change anything. After more research today, I found someone with a similar issue. Like them, I also could not play the MP4 clips within Blue Iris, though I could in Windows Media Player on the...

Can't play clips from web server

I'm recording in MP4. I chose this over BVR as I thought BVR would only play within Blue Iris program or on the web server. But I want to be able to play these clips outside the web site on different machines in my LAN. If there's another player that can play BVR (VLC maybe?), I'd be ok with...

Can't play clips from web server

I've just installed this on my laptop, but still can't play clips. The only undesirable thing I noticed it trying to install were some browser toolbars, which I declined.
