    There are many reasons why dome cameras are not recommended.. rain,Ir reflection ect... I feel it depends on where you put it . I wouldn’t ever use it outdoors.

    Your door locks really make no difference,you could spend $200.00 on a nice lock then when someone wants to break in they can just go around back and break the window. Any good grade deadbolt with 3 inch screws should work fine anymore then that it’s a waste.

    With a pc and the blue iris software you save everything local no need for internet unless you wanna remote in then you use a vpn it with mifi it will be harder. Just take it one step at a time read read read.. then make decisions
