Is there such a thing as a Low voltage or POE powered IR Illuminator?
just because you measure 12V there doesn't ncessarily mean it can supply any current at that voltage... Feel free to try it, but it might either not work (can't supply the current) or blow something up...- pozzello

Please specify which unit you flashed with which FW. Did you do a factory reset after the 'upgrade'? If not, try that to see if it fixes your 'config not-sticking' issue. hopefully, there's a factory FW available for your unit in case it just doesn't work well on the Dahua FW and you need to...- pozzello

yes, i was going to suggest showing us the 'storage' SD card page, which would have told us the card was not seen/formatted. sometime, if you format the card in your PC first, it'll then work in the cam... -

yes, both outputs have PoE available, but it's fine to plug a non-poe ethernet device in. that's the beauty of 'active' 802.3af/t PoE. can't do that with passive,- pozzello

'803.af' and 'passive' are mutually exclusive. ie, most splitters are one the other, not both. if you want to provide a poe (or non-poe) ethernet to another device at the end of a currently 802.3af PoE Camera run, just use one of these (mini 3 port pass-thru switch)...- pozzello

the cam's UI doesn't have TCP/UDP option. if he didn't already have the port open on his FW, none of the cams would be synicng... maybe try re-assigning the cam's IP to something other than .50? try .56 (for example) just to see if behavior changes... -

seems some of Lorex's newer oferrings may no longer be Dahua-OEM'd. or they had Dahua disable the tftp at startup for them, specifically to prevent such self-service. One would probably need to access the serial port to find out more...- pozzello

Right. that 'Sync PC' button that does a ONE TIME (just when you click it) sync from the current web browser's computer, which has NOTHING to do with the NTP configuration below that includes an interval setting. Yes, that one... This is why we usually ask for screen shots... ;-) -

If he didn't have UDP port 123 open on the PC for NTP requests, then NONE of the cams would ever be sync'ing via NTP and they'd all be drifting... but yeah, I has assumed the OP knew the diff between 'sync to pc' and 'test/NTP'. You know what they say about assuming... :-) -

yes, you seem to have plenty of street lighting available, tho the white LED's might be useful for ID'ing people as they come into your fenced-in area, (if you don't already have lighting along side or behind the cam, that we can't see...)- pozzello

you said it drifts over days? then it's clearly not re-syncing on schedule (every 30 min)... perhaps a firmware update or other issue in it's past has left that cam partially mis-configured. Have you tried resetting it to factory and reconfiguring?... -

oh! how about this: set the router's LAN netmask to 255.255.0.0 (from 255.255.255.0). that way, the hik's 192.168.1.0/24 network will be local to the router's LAN. and this should not disrupt local 192.168.7.0/24 traffic... -

with the hik's, setting exposure to 1/20th will actually use shorter exposure (1/100 or 1/200 or even less) if there's enough light, which explains why little/no motion blur. would be interesting to see at what setting it makes a difference (scene gets darker when it hits/surpasses the limit)...- pozzello

in that case, if you have access to the router there, you may be able to ADD the hik's network (without removing the working lan/vpn config)... should not need to reconfigure the MAIN network (that wouls be recipe for locking yourself out) -

check the details of that rule to make sure you didn't limit to specific IP's. If you did, perhaps that camera was added later and not added to this exception list? -
