Theoretically it should.
Both the modems wifi and the fire TV stick suport 802.11a/b/g/n/ac ( 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band plus up to 450 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. ) and the fire TV stick supports 4k streaming.
I'm looking for Camera suggestions to display a live feed for a dance studio.
This will have to be wirelessly streamed through a firetv stick so I'm not sure what resolution ( MP) would be the best choice.
I'm thinking 8MP ( 4k) which would be around 13.4mbps for each camera at 30fps . I will...
Got it, so there are actually standard technoligies for these analog systems so you just have to match the cameras technology with that of the DVR.
I was aware of the one dahua uses (HDCVI) but not the others.
Thank you for the help guys
I know this is not an IP system but I am trying to help someone find an outdoor camera for this WBOX DVR MODEL#OE-HD16C2TB.
The item was purchased through ADI but I cant seem to find any info related to compatible cameras and there support has not responded to my email.
Any help is greatly...
Looking for Suggestions for a camera with wide angle lens ( 2.8mm would honestly probably work) to view live feed on a TV in another room.
Its for a dance studio so parents can watch their kids while not distracting them.
Can you use an IP camera in this manner without the TV being connected to...
I aquired a Hikvision DS-9016HQHI-SH DVR and would like help trying to reset the password. The preveous owners have no idea what it is and I'd hate to just toss it.
Any help is appreaciated!
Bit late but if you are not sure. Just clear the apps cache and storage of necessary.
Also, It may be a bug in the new release as I am also having some issues with pushed alarm playback.
I've actually done this before and it worked fine The only limitation as far as I could tell was the 100 MBPS ports which the cameras I used would never go over anyways.
Also interested to hear any other reasons not to do this.
Thanks bigredfish. I will attempt to log in through the NVR GUI and change the cameras to DHCP that I want to move to the external POE. Then back to static once everything's all set. I appreciate the help!
The double IP was because I ran a search for cameras and added what was in the list not...
All 16 cameras have coax to POE adapters which means each camera plus the two adapters equals 12 watts per channel and the budget of the NVRs internal POE is only 130 watts.
I had to change some settings from the default because I had set up the system to bench test and the IP address ranges were completely different than the one the system was being installed on.
I have an overloaded NVR POE switch and am trying to offload some of the cameras to an external POE.
All cameras are set to static in the 192.168.1.x range while the NVR and network it is attached to are in the 192.168.0.x range.
I thought if I just disconected the cameras from the back of the...
I honestly didnt even concider the POE adapters power consumption could push it over the limit of the built in POE. Looking at the NVR specs, 15w per port/ 130w total rated power
CAMS 8w x 16 =128
ADAPTERS 2w x 32 =64w
192 w
130 w

Thanks for the input Teken.
I went ahead and ordered an external POE switch to relieve the NVR of any power strugle.
Hopefuly that will be the only issue!
Thank you,
Flintstone61
That does make sense. I went ahead and ordered a POE switch. I'm not sure how long but I know they could be upward of 300-400ft on some cams as they coiled about 100ft at the end of some runs
I dont think this one is POE though.
Any one here experiance this issue?
NVR: Dahua NVR5216-16P-4KS2E
You can see in the video link below when the one bnc cable is plugged in, the power is cut from all other adapters. Also, when I plug in the cat6 from the last two adapters to ports 15 and 16 on the NVR I lose power to ALL...

Thanks looney2ns. Do you the web adress to login to the portal? These cameras are not in anyway personal so I could care less if people view them. Thank you for the warning though :)
Does Dahua still offer free web base access to cameras?
I remember I used to have the option to log in to view my cameras from any pc that had internet access via a portal on I believe it was there IMOU website.. Do they still have this option?
Thanks Tony, I did come accross that thread and even though I hadn't enabled continuous recording at the time. I went ahead and did so , with the same end result.
It seems like this would be such a highly desired feature that they would not let the broken link between the NVR and cams fall...
I am trying to get ANR to work on my dahua NVR (version 4.0) but when I test it by unplugging the NVR and go to replay the video, the SD card from the camera does not replenish the missing video. (cameras are on seperate POE switch)
Is there something that has to be setup on the camera side??
