    I am still on "V2.800.0000000.16.R, Build Date: 2020-05-29" as I have been waiting to hear the "Good to go" on any other version. I use the IVS on the camera. I'm not sure if "IVS" per se is available anywhere other than cameras but I assume surveillance software can do the equivalent.

    IVS not working. SD storage wrap-around not working. We've been talking about new firmware for the last 3 months. At some point (already passed for me) people people start losing faith. It's pitchforks and torches next. :P

    I agree, I could do with the IVS working too. I certainly wouldn't buy any more of these or advise anyone else to buy them while there are such issues outstanding. I'm surprised to see them still for sale.

    I have the vari-focal. As I mentioned, I have now installed a floodlight and have stopped using IR. I'm very happy with the camera's night color performance and won't be going back to IR. My point is that anyone doing a direct replacement of a 5321 will not be wowed by the new camera...

    it should be better at viewing heads and shoulders. :p Honestly though, b&w performance using inbuilt IR emitters is similar to the 5231. Color with supplementary light is where it really shines.

    Be sure you have a fair amount of light at night in order to use color mode otherwise you won't be much better off. I found that out the hard way. Once I installed a floodlight I'm back to where I was with the 5231 but with color at night, which is of course much better. However I honestly don't...

    What you have there is ideal for this camera. You have enough light to give you good clear color images at night. It's not the most interesting of scenes to watch, but that's a different issue. :)

    I wouldn't assume there is "a pre-existing 20 digit password". Having 20 "dots" just makes it harder for people to guess the password since they can't see its length. If you ignore the password issue can you get the test email to work? BTW for security reasons it is not recommended to give...

    There is a simple formula in the wiki somewhere. Basically it's a linear scale where 1 = 2.7mm and 2275 = 12mm. In my case I need 5mm... not 3.6mm and not 6mm.

    A varifocal is not really meant to be used like that. The idea is that you set the focal length just after you install it and then leave it.
