I just went and used an Electrical junction box for outdoors. I used 2 hose clamps attached with screws (2 each clamp) to the junction box (camera is mounted on a radio tower). Cut a hole big enough to feed the wires through into the cover of the junction box. sealed everything up with some... -

Yes after weeks of playing around with the settings. I am beyond pleased with the camera. Here is a shot from tonight. It is overcast, but a full moon. I still have issues with sun flare and moon flare, but that just can not be helped. -

If you do not need the IR light in the door bell. 1) Put some electrical tape over the IR light. 2) Dis-assemble the ring and cut a lead to the IR Led or remove it. -

Yes I saw where Dahua will do its own time lapse. What I use makes 2 videos. First one updates every hour, adding onto the previous. Second one updates at midnight to show the previous 24 hours. You can also set the capture rate up to 1 frame per second. It will upload a JPG after so many... -
