Yea nice and smooth I wouldn’t complain at least it it didn’t get possessed and start randomly tracking invisible birds, mine felt like it was possessed yesterday I couldn’t even control it with ptz control had to reboot it and today I zoomed in to 25x and hit a preset that’s 3x and it went to... -

How is your auto focus working @ 20-25 zoom with b/w and smart ir on does it lock in a good focus or does it drift out -

2nd night testing and definitely a focus issue at high zoom 20-25 it will auto focus but slowly de focuses sometimes it try’s and refocus but then slowly de focuses and stays unfocused so a manual focus is needed I tried every option in menu only thing that helps a little is putting de fog in... -

Seems to be more of a night issue day focus on fence working ok -

You set it to how long it tracks objects then when time is up it returns to preset and if that object is still moving in cameras view it will track it again for the time you set -

I also downloaded this and it did fix ir cutout at 9x zoom now it stays on all the way up to 25x zoom but I now have focus issue from around 14-25 zoom sometimes it just won’t focus and I have to manually focus other times it focuses for a second then gradually degrades then tries refocusing... -

Seems that the action of the camera is to sluggish by the time it tracks zooms and ir comes on the target already left -

Same here usually if there is nothing in between IE tree big rock and it is under 10 mph it tracks pretty well but yea sometimes I think it’s chasing birds or chipmunks -

Yea bubbly! I also updated my old collecting dust 507 and downloaded ir and focus issue software and I noticed improvement in exposure and focus almost as good as my 4 new Dahua ptz I bought because of sunba ir focus issue. Another problem is ae reference no longer is adj just like say 50% of...- dabossc7

Make sure your not on smart ir because it shuts off at around 7x zoom I don’t know why that is smart because you will need ir all thru zoom any how my zoom priorities stays in all thru the zoom up to 25 x check if u have hlc on as that will darken up your zoom so it may look like ir is less... -

funny that's almost exact settings I been using (but I force color and use ir and it does see the ir also) found ae reference made the biggest change for better over exposure and clarity seems when it over expose's it gets blurry but then my morning video would be to dark for my purpose I cant...- dabossc7

I have some great night auto tracking of a running deer if I can figure out how to post it from a iPhone -

So I talked to a tech yesterday and sent some photos about the over exposure and poor focus exp with ir on and he assured me they were reducing exposure 10-20% next firmware upgrade and said if not happy he will send new starlight version early next year. I think they know they are losing lots...- dabossc7
