    I think not..... maybe you should backup what you say, wpa2 uses a 4way handshake they pass the hash not the password, yes you can capture this but you still have to crack it :-) normally using a dictonary or a brutforce attack. i happy for you to prove me wrong :-)

    useing wpa they would have to Butforce the password, if WPS is enabled on the router attacking the WPS could allow access, getting one of the cameras to connect to a rouge AP will allow access to the camera, depending on the camera it maybe possible to hack out the wifi passcode.

    There is only one way to get someones WPA passcode and that is to phish it or crack it, it not as easy as the OP makes out and normally requires some form of social engineering. upto date anditvirus / mailware / firewall enabled & complex passcodes will make life dificult for the attacker...

    just use a normal patch lead, if the NVR is 192.168.1.1 set the mac to 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0 no gateway or DNS require.... well it works for me :-) check in the terminial with ifconfig and ping 192.168.1.1

    i updated my DS-7808-E2 and i was having issues, so i reset to defaults and now the NVR is in Chinese :-( DONT RESET THE NVR TO DEFAULT IF YOU HAVE A PATCHED NVR So anyone (that will not charge me for the info) have any idea how i patch the NVR's region back to English? thanks :-)

    hi this may be your issue... this is a log of me writing the files back to the camera, i use "echo -ne \\x01 | dd conv=notrunc seek=xx bs=1 count=1 of=mtdx_temp" but from a terminal on my linux box so you dont see it in the log or when i dumped the mtdX_temp i coped them on to the test...
