    So I was checking out the IR light on amazon and noticed it said on the back of the unit "Keep the photocell downward to avoid sun exposure". Does sunlight wear the cells down? The spot I'm looking to place this is pretty much in direct sunlight most of the day.

    Thanks, it was a mess before but I took the opportunity to clean it up when I swapped out the 16 port switch. I'll be interested in the temps come summertime. The only closet the wife allowed a rack in is also the room that gets the warmest then.

    I actually got one of the screws to be almost flush by using a dremel at first but it wasn't worth the time. It's rack mounted anyway and not noticeable. I love it that it's only as loud as my 16 was. I am using all 4 fans without the LNA's. These fans rock!

    So I just got mine and I plugged it in and the noise wasn't so bad on it's own but as soon as I migrated the POE Cams over the fans ran on medium speed. Gonna move forward and purchase the Noctura's. Did your switch come in?
