I RESET the cam but now it connects to another hot spot that is not mine and I cannot access. It is grabbing 192.168.3.xxx while my domain is 192.168.1.xxx I can find no way to force it to mine. But the good news is that the Doorbell still rings, HA! -

Changing to 10 made no difference. I looked at this with DMSS and see the same video quality issues and pulsations. I think I will return this to Andy's store on Amazon for a replacement. I will update this thread when I get a new camera installed - might take a few days though! Thanks... -

The Receive buffer is set at 12mb At one time I had set it to 20mb but saw no difference so I set it back to 12mb -

I'm not sure but during the daytime the video is out of focus for about 5 seconds and then everything is sharp. Perhaps at night due to the noise it is unable to do so. Just a guess. -

I set the controls to 50 but not sure what you meant by set WDR to Auto. Here is a snap of my new settings and a short vid of the results -

Day time looks alright except that they video looks slightly out of focus until about 5 seconds and then everything snaps into focus. I set the PSS Camera setitngs back to 50 and set Backlight to WDR also 50 which if I recall were the original settings. I don't see and 'Default' button in PSS... -

I upped the bitrate to 8192 and turned OFF Backlight The video quality looks about the same as before - no change -

Your night time videos look alot better than those from my DB6I cam. My video are extremely grainy and are almost useless. Would you post your settings Smart PSS Camera setting for both DAY and NIGHT for comparison? Thx in advance -

Using an IP camera with a video meeting app like Zoom or Jami
I suppose the easiest approach would be to just by a high quality usb cam but the prices are pretty crazy right now and I've got a bunch of Dahua cams not being used. I hadn't thought about using VLC but it sounds like a good approach. Thanks -

We didn't seem to learn a great deal from the 1918 Influenza. Our local PBS ran a pgm the other night about - people were stealing wooden coffins and the older people were just left to die because the medical system was so overwhelmed. -
