I have my Dahua IPC configured to write to a NAS using NFS share, so wondering I should put an SD card in.
Can it utilize it as a buffer or fall back to SD card in case of any network issues and then upload to NAS once the network connectivity is restored?
Are the unbricking instructions in the first post still valid?
Update:
Confirmed working with a DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000015.0.R.200430.bin firmware on a IPC-HFW5231
OK I did reset using the reset button but still the same issue
Web interface is not available. Already spent like 2 hours on this crap, had to go dismount the camera.
I think that's my last dahua camera. Maybe the're good when whey work but their software is just piece of shit.
These instructions also do not mention resetting the camera.
Also I don't want to reconfigure all the parameters every time I update it.

No I didn't. I didn't know I had to.
I did firmware updates multiple times and never reset it neither BEFORE nor after the update.
The Andy's post also doesn't mention that.
Updated my camera and can no longer access it via web interface.
The camera is still works and records on my nas, it is also recognized in smart pss and shows the new firmware.
How to fix the web access?
Do you know if 5A425XA-HNR and 49225XA-HNR are the same in terms of performance/AI/autotracking capabilities?
5A425XA-HNR is much more expensive so I wonder if there is more than just the sensor/lens
Just wanted to update here
@Wael was able to convert it

The actual Dahua model is an IPC-HDW-4830EM I was able to ascertain this from the HDWID. I used a Serial UART device to do it but I don't see why the other (easy unbricking) method wouldn't work as well given it has the correct...
Can you also share DH version of this firmware?
It just makes life easier because it shows the model number in the information menu
UPD: found it https://dahuawiki.com/images/Firmware/DH_IPC-HX4XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.0000000.10.R.191118.zip
I had similar issue with IPC-HFW5231E-Z5E I figured out that I had to initialize it within certain time after reboot.
I used the latest version of config tool from here https://www.dahuasecurity.com/support/downloadCenter/tools?id=12
OP wanted the "BEST video quality" and defined his budget as "not too much" (means nothing really).
I think Sony SNC-VB770, AXIS Q1659 are starting points for him, and not Dahua 4mp with crappy sensor and lens
If you're looking for the "Best video quality" I think it's going to be well over $1000, if not $5000 (see Sony SNC-VB770, AXIS Q1659)
I wonder if there are any medium format frame cameras (e.g. KAF-50100 based), that will probably be well over $10000-20000
Canon 120MXS sensor also looks...
I just noticed my Dahua supports both Samba and NFS
I had it configured to use NFS but it results in jerky videos and frames missing.
So I was thinking may be SMB will perform better but can't make it to work, any ideas how to set it up?
The parameters look self-explanatory but It does not work
