DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

@Kilojade , damn that's a bad situation with people trying to steal it. The "HLC" (high light control?) setting on the 2335FWD-I helps to even the exposure levels out at night, without it I get overexposed/ washed out areas. All of my LED lights are flood lights- to try and even out the spread...

DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

From memory: Leave your IR "On", set the sensitivity to 7 (that will still turn the IR on if you lose your visible lighting) Turn "WDR" off and use "HLC" (on auto IIRC) Noise reduction on "Expert" and leave the top line at zero and the bottom around 30-50% I'll check for sure later. I recently...

DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

I'm not sure where you're getting that from? The 3MP(fixed or varifocal) is rated slightly better for min Lux levels. Not directly related to the above, but with Hik datasheets you need to make sure you're reading the Lux rating relevant to the f stop of the lens fitted. They usually give two...

DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

The 4MP range is new, but they appear to have renamed all of them to "powered by dark fighter". Including the DS-2CD2335FWD-I in this thread. eg. DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.

The first two are recent releases, you could try contacting one of the AliExpress Hik sellers and ask for a price.

DS-2CD2335FWD-I - Hikvision Ultra Low Light 3M camera

1/12 will give you great still pictures, but anything moving will be a blur. They have got a new 4MP "powered by darkfighter" camera. I posted a thread on it a few weeks back. New Hik 4MP "Powered by Darkfighter" DS-2CD2H45FWD-IZS DS-2CD2345FWD-I You also mentioned varifocals, the 3MP...

    3 MP WDR Vari-focal DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS

Regarding the IR on the DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS: I was playing with the manual IR settings and noticed Hik have got a "Low Beam" and "High Beam" setting (possibly not the exact terms used.) Think of it like car headlights- low beam gives you a wide spread (but shorter throw) for when the lens is at...

New Hik 4MP "Powered by Darkfighter" DS-2CD2H45FWD-IZS DS-2CD2345FWD-I

I didn't see these new 4MP low light "Powered by Darkfighter" cameras mentioned anywhere- apologies if they have been. Varifocal version DS-2CD2H45FWD-IZS : Min. Illumination: Color: 0.008 lux @(F1.2, AGC ON), 0.011 lux @(F1.4, AGC ON), 0 lux with IR 1/2.5" Progressive Scan CMOS 2.8 to 12 mm...

Hikvision Firmware Upgrade Problems or Not?

No, there's no "WR" in the serial number viewed in the webpage config. It's got "CCRR" and "WCVU" in it. The serial number on the box is just numbers and I can't find a serial number on the actual NVR - it's bolted into a cabinet and I can't see the bottom. Using a mirror there's nothing on the...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2335FWD-I 3 MP 2.8mm vs 4mm.

The 4mm does seem to be out of focus. I've got 4mm and 6mm versions- the 4mm cameras appear a lot better even after refocusing the single 6mm. I don't know what the lens quality is like, but it doesn't seem so good. :( I've got two of the Hik 3MP low light varifocals DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS and the...

    Limiting EXIR coverage

Swapping to a lens with more magnification would also be worthwhile- there's not much point covering so much of the neighbour's yard. Below is the same camera with a 16mm lens fitted. I've since changed it to a lower magnification as 16mm was a bit too much! The gate is around 10-12m from...

    Limiting EXIR coverage

@lunokhod I've got a couple of 2342's that I'm using in a similar situation. They both suffer from really bad IR reflections and I've ended up turning off the on board IR. I've instead set up PIR sensor lights (visible light) and have the cameras set to colour 24/7. You can run either mains...

    Bullet Mic Review

This turned out to be the Hik camera requiring a mono 3.5mm plug - the stereo 3.5mm (with both channels connected together) won't work. Even though Hik instructions on connecting a powered mic show both as an option. I haven't permanently connected this bullet mic up, but quick testing shows...

That's a totally different model to the camera this thread topic is about. Why are you spamming???

    3 MP WDR Vari-focal DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS

Yes. On the Hiks there's normally an option to disable it under System- Maintenance IIRC.

    3 MP WDR Vari-focal DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS

The design is a PITA to mount. You secure a metal plate to the desired mounting surface; the plate has three raised slots on it (for raised screws on the camera's base to fit in) as well as a hook to hang the camera off while you're installing it (via a safety cord on the camera itself.) The...

    3 MP WDR Vari-focal DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS

The IR spread seems very good to me, but I think you'll find any varifocal will suffer from poor IR coverage at the wider viewing angles. It does seem to be a lot better than a Dahau IPC-HDW5231R-Z Starlight I've got- that does suffer from virtually no IR illumination at the edges at wide...

    3 MP WDR Vari-focal DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS

I haven't got around to making up a custom lead for the MicroSeven microphone, but will do a comparison between it and the Hik microphone once I do. The Hik is proving very sensitive to picking up sound, I'm running the camera at around 50-60% line in gain level.

    3 MP WDR Vari-focal DS-2CD2H35FWD-IZS

An update from me regarding the audio issues. After purchasing a second camera with a genuine Hikvision microphone (on the proviso it was all tested before shipping) I have worked out what the audio problem is. The Hik microphone arrived with no plug and three bare wires. Black for ground...

    Bullet Mic Review

The IPC-HDW5231R-Z has a very good on-board microphone. I updated the firmware on mine and changed the compression, it's crystal clear now and very sensitive. (Even if you wanted to change the microphone there's no external input.)

Ip camera outdoor with pir motion sensor

Instruction for the DSC LC-171 are here http://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=16449 There are quite specific instructions on how to mount it and suitable locations. The correct mounting height is only 4ft off the ground- which would limit coverage if there are any objects in the area.

Testing an IP Cam "Line Level" microphone input?

The weather has been hot, so I haven't got around to removing the camera for testing. The seller got an identical camera and tested it with a Hikvision powered microphone- and it works. So I'm buying the tested identical camera with the Hik microphone. I will test the current camera with the...

Ip camera outdoor with pir motion sensor

PIR's that won't be set off by cats/ dogs etc. but still detect humans is a big ask. Their sensitivity varies depending on climatic conditions, so the warmer it is the less sensitive they are. They're also more sensitive for objects crossing their beam pattern compared to someone directly...

Testing an IP Cam "Line Level" microphone input?

I've got a twin RCA to 3.5mm stereo adapter (solid plastic type) that I should be able to try with the camera apart. The Hikvision instructions for connecting microphones are woeful- they actually show a 3.5mm stereo and 3.5mm mono plug being used in differing diagrams. The stereo plug has the...

Testing an IP Cam "Line Level" microphone input?

Yes a 3.5 mm plug for line level I/P, a second for O/P. The Hik specs say "single channel" so I've used a mono plug

Testing an IP Cam "Line Level" microphone input?

The microseven is connected to "line input" on the camera via an RCA to 3.5mm mono plug. (I bought two of them as well, so have tried both adapter cables with the same result.) I'll take the camera down and try feeding a fixed line level audio output from a piece of home audio equipment. My...

Testing an IP Cam "Line Level" microphone input?

I set it up running off a 12v solar system with 240W panels and a 100Ah battery (but have also used a regulated 12vdc 1000mAh wall plug pack with the same results.) There's only a "line level" input option, I've tried all the available compression options and gain levels from 0-100. I've also...

Testing an IP Cam "Line Level" microphone input?

Thanks for the confirmation, I couldn't think of any reason it wouldn't work. It's the best thing I can come up with given the equipment I've got. (Sending the camera back to China is going to be expensive, so I want to be sure what equipment is at fault.)
