    Dahua Push Notifications?

DMSS as this is the system dahua is now moving forward with. I’ve had it personally myself for about 6 months and push notifications were working fine on it. Not sure what happened?

    Dahua Push Notifications?

I have a number of clients recently that had successful push notifications that were working on their cellphones - until recently. Including my own home. My notifications are no longer working either. Is there an update to DMSS that requires a new setting? anyone else experiencing this?

    NVR robbing network speed?

I have not tested the back of my modem yet via hardwire - but my iphone is testing 400MBPS-ish. Which I believe is the highest speed that an iphone can achieve. so I would imagine so. Currently watching the video. I feel like ubiquiti has a built in VPN I can use instead of this raspberry...

    NVR robbing network speed?

I have a Ubiquiti network.. I see some settings in the Ubiquiti controller for a VPN. I'd really like to setup a raspberry pi that can control my Dahua sunrise/sunset calculator.. But I don't have a clue how to go about it.

    NVR robbing network speed?

Alright, guys - rather than bash me for not following IoT security - someone help me to setup this openVPN - never done it before... would like to learn.

    NVR robbing network speed?

Meh, not worried about that. Hackers can watch me come and go from my home all day if they’d like.

    NVR robbing network speed?

Comcast came out this morning and replaced the exterior line to my house. Problem solved.

    NVR robbing network speed?

Well, touché. I am a trunk slammer that installed this myself. But please keep in mind, none of these issues existed prior to the upgrade to gig internet. I’d love it if you could help me optimize my network - as I don’t think it’s any real surprise, I don’t really know what I’m doing. I...

    NVR robbing network speed?

Yes. Numerous times this happened yesterday. However, right now my WiFi speed is down to 5MBPS standing directly under a ubiquiti AP. I’m paying for a gig plan. And the NVR is not hooked to the network. What’s the chances I got a faulty modem from arris? Is this more likely to be a Comcast...

    NVR robbing network speed?

and.. all of this is for nothing... right now, my internet speed is 10MBPS on WIFI. This isn't a ME problem, this is a comcast problem.

    NVR robbing network speed?

This is wayyyy over my head. I almost think I should just call a networking guy to come figure this out.

    NVR robbing network speed?

What I'm not understanding is - When I choose DHCP - I restart the USG & NVR. Normally, the NVR would pick up a new IP. however, It just stays on 0.0.0.0 - shouldn't it assign an IP? What is the problem?
  16. CastleSurveillance

    NVR robbing network speed?

ok - playing with this, I have now made the NVR 192.168.2.6... when I attempt to ping that from my computer on 198.168.1.xxx, it has no ping. I'm assuming the NVR is not truly pulling a IP then?

    NVR robbing network speed?

I think you're either misunderstanding on this works on ubiquiti - or I am misunderstanding how it works. I have two networks set up through the same security gateway. 1st port on gateway - 192.168.1.xxx which is attached to my switch, which powers all my AP's, my WAN & LAN for my home 2nd...

    NVR robbing network speed?

I think you misread that. it's always been pointing at 192.168.2.x
  20. CastleSurveillance

    NVR robbing network speed?

yes, that is just ubiquiti's naming for that port LAN/WAN 2 - you have the option of either. I cannot do that. 192.168.1.1 is my home network. I'm trying to seperate the NVR off of that. I'm not seeing where you see the NVR pointing to 192.168.1.1?

    NVR robbing network speed?

To be clear - change the gateway on the NVR, correct?
  22. CastleSurveillance

    NVR robbing network speed?

I do not believe that this is connected to the internet.. when I check my topography of ubiquiti - there should now be two networks coming off the USG and there is not... additionally, it is showing that the dedicated network for the security cameras is pulling no data.

    NVR robbing network speed?

hmmm that's an issue.. I don't have WIFI on that network. it's just a LAN network. Shouldn't this be able to connect to my cell through P2P --- orrrr.. the dreaded port forwarding?

    NVR robbing network speed?

@biggen you seem to understand ubiquiti - any ideas?

    NVR robbing network speed?

I am no longer able to pull it up on DMSS on my cell phone. This was originally hooked up through P2P. P2P is not currently connected inside the NVR. This is what leads me to believe it is not connected.

    NVR robbing network speed?

Alright guys, I have the new network hooked up through the 2nd LAN in my USG. It is on the following subnet: 192.168.2.0 Below is my screen shot of the IP screen for the NVR. It still won’t connect. What am I missing?

    NVR robbing network speed?

I finally got it to work - note: This is NOT an option in the new interface, I had to revert my interface back to the classic version to find this.. Still having issues as the NVR does not want to seem to pick up a IP address right now.

    NVR robbing network speed?

Not that simple - I would have to call ISP and have them re-authenticate the old modem - and then have them do the same for the new modem if I decide to put it back - I'm not saying that I WONT do this - but I'd prefer to save myself an hour on the phone if I don't have to.

I have the old modem -but the old modem cannot handle gig internet.
