    Home Automation, Lights and Locks.

I'm using Smartthings with Ecolink sensors, Kwikset locks, and GE switches all on Zwave. There's even a 3rd-party Blue Iris trigger and profile selector that works with ST. I don't use it, but it does exist.

I use Ecolinks too and they work fine.

Using Nests myself, but would probably go with Ecobee now as they're a bit more flexible.

Need help with ReoLink Cameras and new Blue Iris Upate - Low FPS

Please use the search function as these instructions have been posted several times. Cameras' Interface: 1. Make sure the Reolinks are using the most recent firmware released a couple months ago. 2. Turn off 3D-NR. Blue Iris: 1. Uncheck RTSP/stream timecode in each camera's video settings. 2...

Reolink decided not to add iFrame interval because it'll cause issues for "some people".

No longer true. There is no need to disable hardware acceleration so long as the firmware is up to date.

    Reolink - good & bad

I have a couple of Reolinks and like them, but given you can buy Dahuas today for the same price, I would go that route.

Hosafe Cameras and Blue Iris issues

Can't speak to BI, but my dad has a couple of these cheap cameras and I've managed to get them working in Netcam Studio by providing the RTSP address and selecting RTSP_TCP. If you can, return the Hosafe cameras and get better ones like Dahua or Hikvision for BI. If not, try messing with the...

Am I wasting my time with Amcrest/Foscam?

Amcrest has some decent hardware because many are based on Dahua, but overpriced and you basically have Foscam customer service. Might as well get Dahua right out of the gate.

Anyone try the new FI9803 series Foscams?

I have direct experience with the v2 version of the FI9803 and can confirm it isn't anything special. The image quality of my Reolinks or Hikvision if I force them down to 720p crush the Foscam. Definitely better options out there for the money.

Videos "destroyed" able to be viewed on BI?

Also be sure to turn off the UID and UPnP functions in the cameras interface under Network-->Advanced. I always block all IP cameras at the router just for good measure as they're accessible via Blue Iris anyways.

I responded to your post in the other thread, but here it is again. I've posted these instructions several times in the past; please use the search function. Cameras' Interface: 1. Make sure the Reolinks are using the most recent firmware released a couple months ago. 2. Turn off 3D-NR. Blue...

    Ispy monthly fees

Man, streaming multiple IP cameras to the cloud would use up huge amount of bandwidth and some customers such as Comcast ones, would find some rude surprises. What I do is record locally to my Blue Iris server and sync the recordings to the cloud which is much more reasonable in terms of bandwidth.

Reolink RLC 410 and Blue Iris

If you're planning to use Blue Iris, I don't believe the zoom works so pretty much useless as compared to something with a fixed lens.

Reolink RLC 410 and Blue Iris

I have the RLC-410s and happy with them, but Dahuas can be had for the same price these days so I would go with them. The Starlight Turrets in particular are a great bargain.

Reolink RLC 410 and Blue Iris

I understand what you're saying, but I'm not suffering from anything and hardly unable to admit I bought a subpar product. Spending a little over a $150 for 2 new Dahuas and 15 minutes setting them up would not represent any kind of burden on me, but I don't see the need. I actually prefer my...

Reolink RLC 410 and Blue Iris

From what I understand, none of those vendors are authorized according to Dahua, but stand corrected if they are excluding the rebrands of course.

Reolink RLC 410 and Blue Iris

This information is outdated. Since the most recent firmware, running the cameras in high or main with hardware acceleration enabled presents no issues. I have been doing so and have seen no more or less problems with the stream as I do with my Hik which is more likely due to noise on my...
