    Cameras freezing on 4.3.3

I've been testing a couple of those exact cameras and don't have any issues using 4.4.3.3. Reolinks are a bit touchy with Blue Iris; a few things to check: Cameras' Interface 1. Make sure the Reolinks are using the most recent firmware released in July. 2. Make sure the Reolinks are set to use...

Using Port Triggering instead of Port Forwarding

Synology and Qnap NAS both offer VPN server apps using PPTP, OpenVPN, or L2PT/IPSec. Just another option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Blue Iris on i3 NUC with 5 cams

Re: Small, Low power Blue Iris PC Build on Intel NUC Platform I use a dedicated Gigabyte Brix which is similar to the NUC and it works fine for a handful of cameras. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Advice, Please!

+1 Another thought is the TrendNet IP310PI which is basically a rebadged Hikvision 2032. Usually you can load Hikvision firmware on this IP camera. You pay more, but don't have to worry about getting a U.S. versus Chinese model.

    ip camera over home wiring

Can't go by what the software is telling you as pointed out already. I always run actual speed tests while plugged into the far adapter. Definitely unpredictable how it will function in any given house, but works in many cases. The newer AV2 MIMO adapters are largely better than the AV1 or even...

    ip camera over home wiring

1.2Mbps isn't much bandwidth unless you meant 1.2MB/s which isn't tons, but enough to run some IP cameras. I actually run my cameras through powerline using AV2 MIMO adapters that get about 180Mbps even passing through an arc breaker in the electrical panel.

    iPhone App Worth It?

Yes, the mobile app is worth it. I actually forward the port on my router using a strong password and IP filtering in BI, but using VPN is a more secure option. Just haven't gotten around to doing it.

    New security system

I would stay away from a T processor for a Blue Iris setup with that many cameras.

    reolink cameras?

I noticed that too, but setting IP to static and wiping out the gateway and DNS addresses did the trick in addition to blocking at the router. Not a big deal really as I never expose or allow any of my cameras on the internet as a general practice. Interesting though that it's only calling Amazon.

    reliable budget cam?

True they don't have the track record or reputation of Dahua or Hikvision, but there are encouraging signs. Firmware is easy to find and fairly regular, you have a warranty (not sure what it's worth as haven't needed it yet), and their support is responsive. They also appear to listen as in...

    Anyone using Amcrest IP3M-954E bullets?

Funny enough, I believe I read somewhere that Dahua discontinued the 4300s because there were too many unauthorized offshoots. Not sure how discontinuing the line solves that problem.

Most IP cameras will do this to some extent. Ironically, the only camera I recall not doing it was the Foscam FI9803P v2 after a recent firmware update following an outcry from users on their forums. The solution is simple, set the camera to static IP and then wipe out the gateway and DNS...

    reolink cameras?

I have a couple of RLC-410s in my setup and they work great. I particularly like the new web interface since the last firmware update. I do find the Reolink image a bit noisier than the comparable Hikvision, but still looks great overall.

    reliable budget cam?

Normally I would suggest Dahua or Hikvision, but Reolink are my dark horse candidates. I have a couple and they work well especially with the new firmware which adds HTML5.

    Anyone using Amcrest IP3M-954E bullets?

Based on the firmware, these appear to be the Dahua 1320s which are the successors to the 4300s.
