Help finishing my home IP cameras setup - LTS NVR

ONVIF takes care of the mixing and matching for the most part. Out of all of the manufacturers explicitly supported by a Hikvision/LTS NVR, Dahua is not one of them. Will they work? Yes, but you must use ONVIF which strips many functionalities out as opposed to using a native protocol already...

    Sample video from ds-2cd3145?

I have a batch of 50 3145s (4mm) installed and they're great. If IPCT lets you upload video without linking to YouTube (I've never had a need to do it), I'll snap some video from work and upload. They're in relatively low activity areas so my selection is limited. My house and other camera jobs...

    Hikvision NVR firmwares

To be clear, LPR was already part of these recorders, the support was just improved and expanded to many additional LP regions. Most US and European plates were already covered. Doesn't affect me too much but I try to keep the NVR as current as possible for a variety of reasons. Sent from my...

    tftp update - econt_Vision-AV2000 error (7716 NVR)

Be that as it may, code sharing is common practice, especially with cheap Chinese hardware and anymore it wouldn't surprise me to see code borrowed from other devices, especially if it's open source (android etc). I really doubted that Hikvision sunk that low, but it didn't make sense as to why...

    NVR firmware V3.4.6 build160405 released.

I misread that, i saw they both had Kx1 prefixes, but didn't notice the 4-5 difference. Good call. With that being said, it is possible for firmware to have support for multiple chipsets rendering it "universal" firmware across said chipsets, but that's clearly not how Hikvision produces theirs...

    Hikvision NVR firmwares

Sorry I didn't look at the filesizes correctly. As long as your NVR isn't Chinese-regioned, keep its firmware as current as possible. Cameras not as critical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    NVR firmware V3.4.6 build160405 released.

Don't have, but want very badly. Still waiting for them to release this firmware for the 7700 SPs. I've had firmware upgrades say failed on occasion for no apparent reason and refreshing the page or restarting the recorder took care of it.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I cameras not responding

Per SADP those addresses appear to still be correct, but SADP reports what IP is statically set in the camera, not logically where it resides. If DHCP gives it away to something else, as you said, it's going to be flakey. Some packets will go to the cam, some will go to the mystery device. The...

    NVR firmware V3.4.6 build160405 released.

Nothing whatsoever. They indicate this was for performance and bug fix enhancements to E and I series, and adding a bunch more license plate regions to the supported plate scanning list. That only applies to 4xxx cameras and higher (smart cameras), so any of my 2xxx and 3xxx cams will never take...

    NVR firmware V3.4.6 build160405 released.

This firmware package, and ones following here on out presumably, are universal across all I and E series recorders. Even though under the I series folder in the portal, 3.4.6 hasn't been published, going under the E series folder, it has, and the release notes indicate that it covers both E and...

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

Check to make sure there are no IP conflicts and that the cameras behind the NVR are not on the same subnet as the router. Although this would have caused more imminent problems up front and you wouldn't even get a web GUI if this was the case, so scratch that. Try this: 1) In the NVR, set it's...

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

All of them are 5.3.3 that I have and work fine. Newer ones are patched to 5.3.8. Good luck getting an upgrade file for the 5.3.3 cameras. You can ask your seller to see if they'll cough one up but just expect an overwhelming rejection or some lame excuse saying the distributor has it, not us...

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

I see what you're trying to accomplish but I don't understand why. The NVR doesn't proactively change these settings behind the scene. Only when you as an administrator make said changes. To be honest I have never heard of a problem like this before even with everything using the admin login. I...

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

Just be aware that the image settings that you see in the NVR are pulling from the camera. Those aren't a separate Config. When you change those, those changes are actually being performed on the camera. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

It didn't work using the Admin user? That should trump any and all permission issues by using that login. In any case, glad you figured it out and always glad to help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

It will not affect the language. It will only reset the configuration. I've reset a couple of my 3145s (Chinese) with no language issues to speak of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

I really can't explain that. But a factory reset is the only way to rule out a corrupted Config. Not the most fun experience in the world to reprogram everything (camera settings are retained within the cameras themselves, those will not need reprogrammed) but will be worth it if it takes care...

    tftp update - econt_Vision-AV2000 error (7716 NVR)

If all you need is a password reset, and you have a US NVR, just contact them, they will be able to help you. It's not worth the trouble of TFTP just to restore a password. Now, if the firmware update screwed up your admin user account (this happens on every one when upgrading from earlier 3.x...

    ivms-4500 Error Code 8200 - DS7608NI-E2 with DS-2CD3145F-I

Try factory resetting the NVR. Since you're able to view the cameras directly just fine, a factory reset on the recorder itself is the next logical move. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Differences to be aware of with rebranded cameras?

The irony is while OS X is the clear and final cut winner (see, I'm punny), the GPUs in them is and for many years has always been their weak point. Failures left and right. However you mentioned yours is a Hackintosh so you took control of the hardware your money was buying vs. having Apple...

    tftp update - econt_Vision-AV2000 error (7716 NVR)

NVRs do not TFTP in the same manner than cameras do. The process is not automatic. It requires a serial console to stop U-boot and instruct it to look for TFTP at a given address. While I can't explain why the random garbage it spits out on the TFTP server side of things, I do know it appears...

Differences to be aware of with rebranded cameras?

While it might not be a dedicated NAS, think of it this way: NAS = network attached storage - is it data storage? Yes - is it attached to the network? Yes. I'd say it counts, in a roundabout sort of way.

Differences to be aware of with rebranded cameras?

Hikvision does have iVMS for OSX, Windows on the desktop platform, mobile they have iVMS for iOS/android, and even Windows phone which surprised me. Web browser plugin is for Windows, Mac, and there is a Linux one too. From experience, Dahua playback has been a bit troublesome for me, at least...

Differences to be aware of with rebranded cameras?

I think Dahua's policy is actually to not sell their brand in the US and that's almost entirely due to the issue of support. They have no intention of supporting products in the US, so they dump that into the various rebranded vendors (such as EyeSurv which is supported by Nelly's). Hikvision's...

Differences to be aware of with rebranded cameras?

http://www.ltsecurityinc.com/ I've never purchased from LTS, I import direct from China so I don't have (or need) the extra support/warranty, but if you have no idea what you're getting into, places like LTS or Nelly's security are the way to go. It's ultimately the same product underneath but...

Differences to be aware of with rebranded cameras?

Personally I'm not a Dahua guy, but working with Hikvision almost exclusively I can tell you that rebranded Hikvision devices (such as those supplied by LTS for example) work exactly in the same manner as original Hikvisions under the hood. The software is the same, firmware is slightly modified...

There's always room for improvement but am happy with what I've received so far. Some people have said the 4...
