    Those cheap ebay MICS with the builtin preamp pick up quite well for what they cost. I am surprised at them, but I don't know how they compare to anything else more expensive or if they are just as equal in performance.

    I also found out after awhile, the spikes don't show up as easy or at all if you don't have much of the image selected with motion detection boxes. If you select the WHOLE image with all the motion detection boxes, you should be able to see the spikes show up, depending how much motion is going...

    Dahua Internal Microphone, any good?

    The one MIC I had an issue with a hum was an analog camera powered by a transformer. I never sorted out the hum, as the analog camera was replaced but I haven't used that same MIC yet to see if it hums regardless or what, I'll be testing the MIC soon though and will post what I find out about it.

    I'm gonna look you up on WU, I had WU app on my ROKU and there were a couple local scenic cameras a few years ago around here that were nice. I don't think the app works anymore though, or the cameras are down, I can't remember which.

    I have that one, it's a true 8 port. I've had no issues with it, but I also have a 7 port 1 uplink TPLink POE switch as an extra now. It has 4 POE ports, and 3 Regular ports, and 1 uplink port.
