    Even to your NVR?

Try shutting down all recording to the cam before upgrading.

Dahua NVR/Smart PSS Exporting Dewarped Fisheye View(s)

Playing around with my first Fisheye camera, testing in my friend's large diesel shop, as I am getting ready to upgrade him from Analog crap cameras to IP. My question, while playing around, is there a way to export a dewarped view, either through SmartPSS (Preferred) or through the NVR, which...

    Auto tracking/ IVS

Which camera are you talking about. Auto tracking cameras work without the need of a NVR.

Did you keep the old version? I was thinking of updating, but I do have the old one to downgrade.

    looks good. Autotracking isn't 100%.

I still have one on a test pole. I am still playing. Granted, tracking is not perfect. Something fast darting under the camera, and the camera loses it. So far, it does appear to help.

    NVR4104-P-4KS2

I have a Non-poe 4108-4ks2 and it is a great little NVR. I personally like non-poe and run a poe switch. But, if you want a very basic setup, then go POE.

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

That is why I wasn't sure what was going to happen when changing the NVR to a 10.0.1.xxx IP. But, if it can still see an IP, that would be great to know if I ever come across this situation during an install.

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Yes. There is a way to change the IP address of the camera through the NVR. Change it to your 10 network ending in 101. Repeat with the next camera to 102..etc Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Edit Delete that IP address above out of your post. I see your private IP is 10.0.1.xxx. So, not 100% sure how this works with this. Not sure if you put the NVR on a 10.0.1.xxx subnet if it will find a camera at 192.168.1.108. Someone who has done that before can weigh in??? I am not in the...

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Network Properties under Settings. All depending on which operating system. Easier yet, do you know the IP Address of your router when you configured it? As @Deali stated, if it is a 192.168.1.X address, it will be easiest to configure.

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

I would add, start with the NVR first Assign it to an IP address on your subnet. IE if your computer address is 192.168.1.xxx, assign an address the same way, not conflicting with any other equipment on your network. Then you can plug in one camera at a time, have the NVR discover the camera...

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Yes. Everything on your network has to have its own unique IP address. And, needs to be on the same subnet to view each other. 1st of all, how are you viewing your NVR at the moment? Browser? Monitor plugged directly into the NVR? That will help us figure out what you need to do to get you...

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Every Dahua product that I got has an IP Address of 192.168.1.108. I would try and make a range of IP addresses for your cameras and just keep a list handy. For me, cameras are 192.168.1.110 and up on my network. Anything computer/server/NAS related, I assign 192.168.1.10 to 99. Anything...

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

You didn't mention any configurations. Did you assign a unique IP address to both on the same subnet? I also like to create 2 additional accounts on my cameras. 1 being my own Admin account and 2nd being an account that the NVR logs into.

    Dahua Starlight's & NVR

Yes it is. Best way, of course, is VPN into your network to do so. Setup gDMSS or iDMSS to connect to your camera(s).

    Help set up Dahua NVR4108-4KS2

I don't use Easy4IP. I do it all manually. I wish I could tell you more. I do have a test 4108 running. It actually does the IVS unlike my 5216.

Noob here needing help with first system

X2 on the Ubiquiti products. I have them in my house and RV Trailer (Gotta pick up the WiFi at the campground). I have 1 wireless camera, and that is a camera we move around the house just to keep an eye on the pup. Wireless cameras will eat up your WiFi bandwidth fast.

Sharing NVR cameras via URL to one or two people setup?

I just had a TP-Link POE+ Switch pop after 3 weeks of light use, so I am very sketchy on them. Personally, I like Asus. I use an Asus AC-87U (AC-87R if you get it from Best Buy). I run Asus DDNS so I don't have to remember an IP address. Open VPN was very easy to configure and to add user...

More info on the chip... With that said, seeing 2 of those chips, this looks like an 8 channel capture card. The manufacturer still produces the chip, but says that it is not recommended for new designs.

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Any word on if Dahua is getting a fix for this IVS issue? I would assume that 5XXX series NVRs have this issue, no matter the amount of drives or channels?? I am testing and putting together a system for my friend's shop, and was hoping to have tripwire trigger a PTZ. I guess I can find a...
